XIV. Family Reunion

Jimin gasped as he saw the view of his home, Southern Alcyoneum. The kingdom was still the same before he was kidnapped.

"I'm home." He mumbled to himself and then he patted softly to the dolphin's side.

The dolphin came to a half and Jimin let go of his dorsal.

"Thank you." Jimin said with a bow.

The dolphin squealed and bowed before dashing away.

Jimin swam to the palace Gates and saw two guards standing by - guarding with golden Spears in their hold.

"Prince Jimin!" One of them hollered and the other gasped when they spotted the prince swimming onward.

Once the golden merman was in front of them, the guards bowed at him.

"The kingdom was in chaos when they heard the terrible news."

"King Chanyeol and his prince consort, Prince Baekhyun of Oceanus are so worried."

Jimin felt his heart broken at the news.

"How did you escape from the humans?"

"I was rescued by a kind human and tended my wounds before he returned me to the sea." Jimin started miss Yoongi and his warmth.

"We're glad that you are okay."

"Come inside, the king is in distress right now."

Jimin nodded and swam through the gate. The kingdom was silent. There were no merpeople crowding the village since it's night time.

Once he was in front of the palace doors, another two guards bowed at him before they opened the double doors.

"Thank you."

Behind the double doors was the throne room. The ceiling was dome - shaped with a chandelier in the center - decorated with glow stones, pearls, corals and shells.

There, sitting on the throne was the King of Southern Alcyoneum, Chanyeol Park and on his left was another merman sitting on another throne, Prince Baekhyun of Oceanus, the older brother of Prince Taehyung.

Baekhyun was holding Chanyeol's hand - that was resting on the arm rest and ran his thumb over his knuckles to calm him as the king sobbed.

"Chanyeol." Jimin called out.

Chanyeol snapped his head up - which made Baekhyun worried for a second that he might broke his neck.

"Jimin?"

Jimin's face scrunched and sobbed. "Chanyeol." He hollered and swam towards his brother and Chanyeol did the same.

Once they reached in the middle, they hugged tightly and cried loudly. Chanyeol pulled away and cupped his face as his eyes scanned to see if there were any injuries.

"H-How?"

"I was saved by a kind human." Jimin said and Chanyeol looked at him bewildered so he continued. "Not all humans are bad."

The king sighed in relief and pulled his brother in a hug again.

"I thought I lost you."

Jimin smiled and shook his head. "You won't lose me that easily, brother."

They pulled away and Jimin was suddenly got smacked at the back of his head.

"Ow!"

"I almost had a heart attack!" Chanyeol exclaimed. "Ugh! I think I'm losing twenty years of my life."

Baekhyun chuckled as he swam towards them. "Don't be so exaggerated, my love."

Jimin smiled at his brother - in - law and hugged him. "Thank you for comforting this giant crybaby." He teased.

Chanyeol pouted. "Hey! I have the right to cry over my little brother." He protested.

Jimin glared at him playfully. "Who are you calling little?"

"You still look like a guppy."

"You're just lucky that you have dad's rapid growth heritage."

Baekhyun sighed and shook his head. "You two just reunited and not even two minutes, both of you are bickering."

"So, what did I miss?" Jimin asked.

"King Seokjin of Korallia invited us as his special guest on Luna Day along with the other sub kingdoms." Chanyeol replied.

"We have to go on an upcoming sunrise." Baekhyun said.

' Luna Day on Korallia.' Jimin thought. ' I hope it's just a dream.'

"We should get some rest. It's been quite an eventful tonight." Baekhyun said with a smile.

Jimin and Chanyeol nodded.

Jimin then swam to his room and went inside his chamber. He looked around and smiled. ' Nothing changed.'

He swam to his sponge bed and laid down. He stared at the ceiling as he unconsciously raised his hand and touched the surface of the seashell on his necklace.

' I'll be back, Yoongi.'

Jimin sighed letting out tiny bubbles before he turned over and slept.
