Chaos fell upon Royaume. The piers and the houses nearby were flooded and the ships were wrecked. The massive waves kept coming and crashing to the lowland.
The dark gray cumulonimbus clouds covered the whole azure sky; no sunshine came pass through the thickness of the clouds. The zephyr was still howling loudly; some posts and trees fell down by the strength of it.
Lightnings flashed brightly as the thunder roared like a fearsome tiger in the jungle.
The villagers were in the throne room of the palace, huddling to their families and their lovers. The children whimpered from the frightening thunder.
King Namjoon looked at his people sadly until his eyes landed on an old man and his wife with her gray hair in a bun, huddling in the corner, shivering.
He approached to them with two towels on his arms. He saw the couple looked at them and smiled softly at them. He kneeled down and gave them the towels.
"Dry yourselves up." He said softly. "I'll tell a servant to make you some tea."
The old woman smiled slightly and nodded her head. "Thank you, your majesty."
"Why is the Sea King angry at us?" Both him and the old woman looked at the old man, who clutched the towel around him.
"What are you saying, Sihyuk?" She asked with her eyebrows furrowed.
The old man looked at King Namjoon. "We do not do anything wrong to them and you even revived King Gwangsu's law." He explained.
' Jin.' King Namjoon thought and looked at the tall window where he could get the good view of the storm.
He looked back at the old couple and was about to answer them but then, someone behind him bellowed.
"Your majesty, I need to speak with you."
The king turned around and saw Yoongi dripping wet with his towel wrapped around his shoulders. Then, he looked back at the couple.
"Excuse me." He said before he stood up and walked towards the raven haired man.
"What is it, Commodore Min?" The king asked.
Yoongi looked around and shook his head. "Not here." He said.
"Let's go to my study room." The king said and the two of them walked to the hallway.
King Namjoon opened the door to his study room and they both walked inside. He locked the door and looked at the commodore.
"So, what is it you want to tell me?" He asked again.
"It's about the Sea King." Yoongi answered. "Jimin wasn't sure that he just had a nightmare or a vision but it was about the Sirens wanting to kill the Sea King in order to take the trident."
The king gasped and he was sure that he felt his heart dropped. "If... If this is not his doing then... Then..." He shook his head in denial. "No... No, he - he promised me that we would unite our kingdoms once the accusation against them was over."
The king felt his legs weak to stand so he flipped down on his seat and ran his fingers through his blond hair. He then pull his hand away from his hair and slowly brought it down to his face where the blood stained pearl ring snugged in his marriage finger.
"Why? Why is the fate so unfair? Why can't we be together?" He asked as he stared at the ring as if it would give him answers.
He felt the tears building up in his eyes and the tears blurred his vision. He closed his eyes tightly and clenched his hand into a fist.
