As the monitor became a blank and Dr. Parker almost yelled
"Get the crash cart."
I could just not watch anymore. I went out of the gallery and sat on a grey iron chair opposite to the room.
My head was on my hands. Then suddenly I felt a pat on my back. I turned around to see it's was Julia Voelkel.
I was never so happy to see one of my colleagues.
She was smiling and then suddenly she put on her stern looking face on and commanded me, "Get up.And go drink a cup of decaf. It looks like you are practically half dead, chill and relax.Ava is with the best surgeons in the whole of Seattle. Now get going."

I smiled,"Sure mother." And started walking towards the cafeteria.
Julia was like a mother or a doctorsitter. She took care of us and knew what each one of us want at the right time.

I was trying not think about Ava's flatline. And wondering is she alive or not?And not going to check that fact does that that make me the bad person in this scenario?
I sighed so many questions but no one to answer.

I grabbed the decaf from the cafeteria and saw Alex studying. I went and sat next to him.
"Hmm.The Alex Morgan studying???" I taunted.
He replied, "Dude not funny. I have failed my intership exam and the Chief is giving me a opportunity to rewrite it."

"Oh shit, dude I am really sorry.Do you need my help studying the symptoms?"I questioned.
He replied,"Okay fine but no one else should know.Okayy??"

"FINE.Extreme thirst and heavy urination, other symptoms may include getting up at night to urinate, or bed-wetting.Whats the disease?"

"Diabetic insipidus." Answered Alex

"Right answer. Next, nerve cells break down, which reduces functionality in the muscles that they supply. The cause is unknown. What is the disease?"

"Lou Gehrig's disease." Answered Alex.

"Right but what's it other name?"I asked.

"Ummm. I don't know."
"It's okayyy. The answer is ALS. Bye. Gotta go, Dr.Medicus has texted me about Ava."

"Don't worry Ava will make it through. She is stronger than she lets on." Alex said trying to comfort me.
"And if anything happens to her we all boys in hospital will miss her perfect ass."
I rolled my eyes. And playfully slapped his hand and then walked away.

Walking towards the elevator to the OR. I was wondering if something happens to Ava what would I do. It would be like a big part of me gone.
The biggest the question was why did she slit her wrists.
I reached to the OR.
When Dr.Medicus started saying," I am really sorry."

"What?Ava.............."

"Oh no. I did not mean it that way. Ava is alive and stable. She would be discharged after two-three days and can come to work after four days. But the problem is that she would have to visit the psychiatrist ward each day for a session."

"Oh okay. Can I go and visit her?" I asked.
"Yes you can but she is still not awake. And Hayley take care of her and yourself."

I nodded.
I went and sat beside her bed on the purple coloured couch. Her BP was normal, heart rate exactly up to the mark and her body temperature was normal.

"Wow"I told myself.
"Alex was right she is stronger than she appears. Many people would not survive this kind of accident and she was back without any cratch."

I was so happy. At last a close person of mine came to this hospital and did not die.
I almost ran to room number 0216.
I reached the room
Will was awake.
I hugged him tightly.
"You were right. She is fine.Thank you soo much."
He replied,"Welcome. If you don't mind can you sleep on the sofa beside me only for today."

I replied,"Okay. I will anyways have to stay in the hospital for Ava but her room has a couch and no sofa. So I will sleep here but why?"

He replied with a sad tone,"My mother passed away on his day two years ago and I don't want to stay alone on this day."
"Oh okay. But give half and hour Ava woke up just now, the Chief texted me. But I will be back.Yayy it's going to be our kind of sleepover right!!!"

"Yaayy!!" He replied.
I waved bye and started walking towards Ava's OR and realised something.

I called up the Chief
"Hello, Dr.Medicus can you get Ava room number 0217. It will be easier for me as I can monitor my special patient too."
"Okay Grey."

I went back to room 0216 and saw that Will was asleep.
I started him on two milligrams of dopamine as he was starting to groan in sleep because of the pain. When he quitened down.

I went and visited Ava who was wide awake when I entered the room.
