I rushed to the ER. I had left Will with Nurse Lainie to prep him for his transplant.

Julia standing there leaning on the railing. I asked her,"You also got paged?"

"Yeah.Listen Hayley I never actually thanked you for resolving my problem. It meant a lot to me.And how much I might thank you would be less I feel."

"Chill. Its okay.I would had done it infinite times,if you asked me to do it."

"Congratulation, I heard about your patient Will Grayson heard he is getting an intracranial transplant."

"Oh yes,he is getting prepped  for it now."

"Hayley if you ever need any help, I will always be there.Okay?"

"Thank you. It means a lot."

Dr.Medicus arrived.

"Dr. Voelkel you take the ambulance 1 and Dr.Grey come along with me."

Dr.Medicus took me to his room and closed the door.

"I am sorry Hayley. Your patient Will Grayson won't be getting the intracranial transplant."

"What? Why?"

"Let me complete Hayley. The British Ministry's ambassador's daughter Jessica arrived at the hospital today, she was in a car crash and..."

"So what changes if she was in a car crash?"

"Well you know the system? The Mayor wants us to give this this girl Jessica, all our resources and she immediately needs an intracranial transplant."

"So ask her to wait, MTAI will not allow."

"The MTAI (Medical Transplant Association Institute) does not have to know."

"This is bad Dr.Medicus, you know the MTAI firmly tells us not to dishearten a patient. And what the hell is this system. If we need to save Jessica, then get her to an medically induced coma and ask her to wait till she gets a matching transplant."

"I am sorry Hayley. If we don't do what the Mayor asks then he will shut the hospital down. And isn't it better to have a working hospital than nothing at all.And we both know that the system is broken."

"Just  because we know that it is broken does not mean that we cannot change it. If we don't do it then what does it make us? We work here Dr.Medicus as doctors who save lives and not politicians so we can decide whose live to save or not."

"I am not understanding Hayley. Why are you fighting for his man at all?"

"I am fighting for this man, because he is a very good person an never expected anything in life other than to live now."

"Well that is why people come into the hospitals to live."

"Yeah not for us to be like 'wow whose day it is to live, lets play a trivia game to decide'."

"Enough Hayley."

"No nothing is enough. I will go and call the MTAI now and tell them everything."

"You are forgetting this Hayley that I have been a doctor before you could even breathe air."

"Well that means you are old."

"Well no, that means there is always a loop hole and MTAI's loophole is that we can always give the transplant to an other patient whose life is in critical need of it than the original transplant patient. And in this scenario the patient is in critical condition. So ow I want you to handle Jessica's case and tell Dr.Ross the changes in plan."

I nodded and walked out of the door. My whole body felt  numb and my brain was trying process and my heart was thumping against my chest. I tried to go the washroom because I had to throw up along the way people were saying something to me that I couldn't make out. When I went to the washroom then I realized that all through this many years I had panic attacks.

I went to one of the stall and threw up. I flushed and I sat down on the floor with my head between my knees waiting for the nausea to vanish. So panic attacks. After a while I stopped feeling nausea so I got up and came out of the stall and looked at the mirror and I couldn't recognise myself. I looked so different and felt so different. I am supposed to be a surgeon and I can't let someone die because of a broken system. Who told only Dr. Medicus can find  a loophole. Then I told it loud enough for anyone in the stalls to hear,

"I found a loophole too."
