Bip, bip,bippppppppp.

-"Wake up Skyla, you don't want to be late for your first day of high school." Monica, my older sister screams.

-"Ugh, okay I'm coming." I groan.

I take my pillow off my face and sit on my bed.

My name's Skyla Ryans and I'm 16 years old. I live in New York City with my parents and my big sister.

Today is an important day, it's my first day in the Xavier High School. Oddly, I'm not stressed at all, I have it all planned out in my journal. In fact, I don't want to go, I know it's all bullshit; secrets, betrayals, fake friends, BOYS! My friends and I decided to get through these years without any problems and in total discretion. Speaking of my friends:

Cooper Walter: a gorgeous brunette, grey eyes, tall, skinny and my best friend, I don't know what I would do without her.

Sarah Owens: The smart one, average size, really cute, wears glasses over her blue eyes, I've known her for 8 years now.

Isobel Miller: The strong one, she never breaks and she makes sure that we don't too. Any boy could fall for her, she's kind of perfect. Same height as me, blond hair and brown eyes.

Me: Average height, fit, long curly brown hair and hazel eyes. Never really had luck with boys.

I wake up, shower, put on the outfit I planned weeks ago. I fix my hair and take my bag, I just put my journal in it then go downstairs.

-"She's here, our high school girl!" Monica screams when I arrive in the kitchen

-"She's here, our high school girl!" Monica screams when I arrive in the kitchen. Without any warning, she hugs me tight, so tight I can't even breathe.

When she finally lets go of me, I sit at the table and start eating the waffles mom made before going to work with dad.

-"Are you going to be okay? I know you might be a little stressed but you shouldn't, it's not that terrible."

-"No, I'm not, I've watched Gossip Girl too many times to be scared of facing a threat bigger than Blair Waldorf, and I know all her tricks so... I'll be okay" I reassure her.

-"I have no doubts" She winks. "I'm proud of you, just remember, don't trust anyone and get ready to see your friends change, even the ones that feel you know better than yourself."

-"Thanks, Monica, I'll keep that in mind." I say as I take the last sip of my orange juice.

I hear a car horn outside and understand that Cooper's here with her mom to give me a ride. I get up and put my phone in the back pocket of my pants.

-"Cooper's here, I'll call you if anything goes wrong, Love you." I kiss her then take my bag and head to the front door.

-"Okay, love you too."

I open my front door and walk down the steps towards my friend's car.

- "Goodbye Mrs. Walter."
