I'm sitting in the kitchen, drinking coffee with homemade cookies while re-reading The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. I woke up at 6am, I couldn't sleep much. I kind of have a date with Tyler Hanson. What the fuck? What did I get myself into? I didn't talk to the girls about it yet. I'm scared of their reaction, bu I completely understand, this is some crazy shit happening right now.
- "Honey, you woke up early." Mom says as she walks in the kitchen, all dressed and ready to go to work.
- "I wasn't really tired yesterday." I tell her.
- "I have some time, I'll drop you off at school, let's go."
- "Thanks mom." I put my book and my phone in my bag then wear my high top vans.
Today I'm wearing black and white plaid pant with a cropped sweater. I straightened my hair and put on some makeup. Not that I care about my date with Tyler, but it's still a date.

Mom drops me off in the parking and I go inside. I find Sarah waiting beside my locker.
- "Hey." I tell her.
- "Hey Skyla, you look great today."
- "Thanks, I like your new look by the way, I never got the chance to tell you."
- "About that, can I come over to your house after school? I'd like to talk, about Seattle and stuff."
- "Yeah I would love to, it's just that, I kind of have a date, but I don't know when exactly, and where. I'm so sorry."
- "Oh, no it's okay we can do this tomorrow. A date with who?"
- "That's something I have to tell you and the girls."
- "It's Tyler, isn't it?"
- "Yeah, it's crazy, I kind of don't know what I'm doing, that's why I need to talk to all of you."
- "I think Cooper's ditching. It's Tuesday, we have history together at the first session, she usually skips it."
- "shit! I'll have to wait until lunch. I hope I won't bump into him."
- "Too late." Sarah says. I turn around and see Tyler walking with Josh.
- "Shit." I say as I open my locker and start looking for something in it.
- "He's looking at you." Sarah says.
- "Stop looking at him, he'll know something's up."
- "Okay. They're gone." I sigh then close my locker.
- "I'm going to head to class. See you at lunch. I'll explain everything."
- "Okay, see you."
We go in different directions. I have English, I get in my class and sit in the second row, third seat. I take my copybook and start drawing, we're probably starting a book that I already read.
