Chapter 32

- "And I won't allow this sort of behaviour. Ever again. Understood?" The director says after a long speech about discipline and all.

- "Yes." Us four say at the same time.

- "Good. You can go now."

We stand up and leave the office. Kate looks at me from head to toe then leaves with Natalie.

- "I should've ripped her heart out when I had the chance." Cooper says.

- "She's not worth it. I'm just glad that we didn't get suspended. Let's just go home." We begin walking to our lockers to take our stuff.

- "She's such a bitch. And she's so dumb. Fighting for a guy that never gave a single fuck about her."

- "About that..." I start.

- "What?"

- "I'll tell you when we're out of here."

- "Okay. Hurry."

We assemble our stuff quickly then leave the school.

- "What Kate said, about him leaving when he gets what he wants, which is sex. I don't know, maybe it's true. Maybe he's doing all of this so that I sleep with him and then he'll..."

- "Okay stop. Since when do we even listen to what that brainless slut says?"

- "Yeah but, it kind of makes sense."

- "No it doesn't. has ever tried anything with you?"

- "No, I mean, yes we kissed but we've never been further. He said that if I'm not ready, it's fine."

- "You see! And why would he do all this for sex? He could have a hundred other girls. Listen, if you don't stop doubting him, it's not going to work. You have to trust him. I'm not saying go in blindly, but just believe in him." She finishes and I take a deep breath.

- "Yeah you're right. I just, I'm scared."

- "Of what?"

- "I don't know."

- "I get it, he's your first boyfriend and he's not like, a good guy, but you don't know, it might work, just be yourself and jump in."

- "You're right. I'll give it a shot. Thanks Cooper."

- "We should go on a double date." She says and we laugh.

- "Why not?" She put our arms around each other and head to Leslie's.

I'm doing my Math homework while listening to Lady Gaga's iconic album The Fame Monster. I didn't tell mom about our visit in the director's office. It's stupid, she doesn't need to know.

I put my pencil down and take a deep breath when I finish the last exercise. I stop the music then stand up and open my closet. It's time for me to cuddle up in my bed with a book and some hot chocolate.

Just as I'm about to take my big black hoodie, my phone rings. I head over to my nightstand and take it. I am shocked when I see the name that appears. Tyler Hanson. After hesitating for a few seconds, I clear my voice then pick up.

*phone call*

- "Hey." I say with a weird voice then wince.

- "Hey. What are you doing?"

- "I, uh, just finished my homework." I pass my hand through my hair then clear my voice.

- "Anything planned for tonight?"
