Chapter 14

I go to the bathroom and breathe for a few minutes. I kissed Tyler Hanson. I enjoyed kissing Tyler Hanson. I wanted to kiss Tyler Hanson. I still want to. I look in the mirror and pass my hands through my hair when someone knocks at the door.

- "Open the door Skyla." I recognize Tyler's voice.

Tyler's pov:

I watch Skyla leaving and I follow her till she locks herself in the bathroom. Should I knock? I don't know what to do. Fuck! I never know with that girl. She kissed me. I mean, I kissed her, but she kissed me back! She looks so beautiful tonight, that dress fits her so fucking perfectly, and the way she singed and danced, she was amazing, I better tell Connor not to try anything with her. And that jerk Jordan, I should kick his ass for being a bastard to her. He really thinks that she'll be jealous of a fucking whore? She's smarter than that, and he doesn't even know it, even if he spent time with her. But I can see it in her eyes, I knew that she was special from the first time I saw her, at school, wearing her sports uniform and going to the bathroom.

I decide to knock at the door. I need to talk to her.

- "Open the door Skyla." I tell her and she doesn't answer. "I know you're here. Just open."

- "Go away Tyler." She yells.

- "Why? Why did you leave?" I ask her and she opens the door.

- "Because you can't just kiss me like that! I'm not going to be just another girl in your list, just leave me alone, I never want to see you again."

- "It's too late for that, isn't it?" That bastard Jordan says.

Skyla's pov:

- "What are you doing here?" I ask Jordan with an annoyed expression.

- "I was going out and well, surprise, surprise, you two kissed." He laughs. "I saw it coming." He turns around and goes back to the party.

I look at Tyler then turn around and head back to the party too. I sit at the table with the girls.

- "Hey, what happened?" Isobel asks me.

- "I don't want to talk about it. Where's Cooper?"

- "Right there, with Connor." Sarah answers and points to a table a little far behind us.

Cooper and Connor are talking and laughing, she sees me looking at them and she waves at me. I smile at her then look at the stage. Two boys start singing Something Just Like This by The Chainsmokers and Coldplay. We order drinks and watch the show.

- "Okay, let's pause the singing guys, truth or dare time." Kate screams. I didn't notice her all night. "Everybody gather around here, you play, or you're out."

I wasn't really in the mood so I get ready to leave but Cooper holds my hand and leads me to the crowd. Isobel and Sarah follow.

The boys move all the sofas and the chairs so we can all sit in a weird circle. I sit beside Cooper and a girl named Lexi.

- "Tyler and Kevin, you play or you're out." Kate tells them. I didn't notice that he was back.

- "Try and make me leave." Tyler tells her.

- "Fuck you." She tells him and he laughs. "Okay, so, who wants to start?"

- "I will." Marla says. "Courtney, truth or dare?"

- "Dare."

- "I dare you to get on that stage and twerk for 30 seconds." The boys start whistling.

- "Okay." Courtney gets on the stage and does her dare. We applaud her and she sits back.
