Chapter 15

I arrive at school, it's Monday. I haven't talked to the girls about Tyler showing up last night in my backyard, nor what I heard him say before he left. I'm still processing, whether I should talk to him or not. I head to my locker and take some books and just as I close it, I see Tyler and his friends crossing the hallway. He didn't even look at me. As soon as he arrives at the other side of the hallway, Kate throws herself at him and kisses him and he kisses her back. He pushes her against the lockers and they keep making out.

I can't believe what I see, and why am I even surprised? High school has made me really stupid. I decide to go to my class from the other side so I don't have to walk by them.

I finish putting on my cheerleading uniform and head to practise. I spot Jordan on the field. He's been a real ass to me lately. I had a plan, to stay away from boys and I should've followed it. I so will from now on.

- "You're late." Kate tells me.

- "I know, I'm sorry."

- "Well, you're not excused." I should've kept the captain position.

- "What does that mean?"

- "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm late." Cooper runs to us.

- "It's okay, join the girls." Kate answers her.

- "What's going on?" I ask Kate with a confused expression.

- "Did you ever hear Brooke Davis and Peyton Sawyer say 'hoes over bros'?" She asks as she starts turning around me.

- "One Tree Hill, of course." I sigh.

- "That's exactly it. You slept with Tyler while I was with him. You're not welcome in the team anymore, we all agree." She stands up in front of me again then crosses her arms.

- "What? I don't!" Cooper says.

- "We didn't want you in the vote 'cause we know you'd take her side without thinking." A girl named Julie says.

- "Kate, Brooke and Peyton are friends, we're not, so it's not the same thing. And I didn't sleep with Tyler." I explain, annoyed.

- "If you say so, and I don't care that we're not friends, we're a team and you betrayed me, the captain! Plus, you kissed him!" She yells at me.

- "He kissed me!" I yell back at her.

- "And you expect me to believe that? You probably threw yourself at him at the first opportunity!"

- "Just because you did it, and still do it apparently, doesn't mean that we all want it!"

- "Fuck you! You're out of the team, clear your locker."

- "You've got to be kidding me?"

- "Come on girls, start stretching." She says as they get into position.

- "I'm leaving too." Cooper walks towards me.

- "No, Cooper it's fine. Stay, please. I know you love cheerleading."

- "Yes but they..."

- "No, it's fine. I promise. Just go." She hugs me and joins the girls looking sad.

I go back to the locker room and put my stuff in my bag then get out of the school, I'll take off my uniform at home. I walk through the parking lot when I see Tyler on his motorcycle, again. This time I decide to ignore him and go home, but wait, he's back with Kate, and she took me off the team! I make my way to him and face him.

- "Can you explain to me why your girlfriend just took me off the cheerleading team?" He looks at me with confusion in his eyes.

- "What the fuck?"
