- "Are you sure?" I ask, still not believing what Cooper just told me.

- "Yeah. It kind of ruined the party."

- "Well that's weird."

Cooper just told me when apparently happened yesterday at some party. They say that Kate broke down and hit a guy when they were making out. She screamed at everyone then ran off crying, in the middle of the night.

-"Maybe she was drunk." I say.

- "If she was that drunk, she wouldn't have been able to run like they say she did."

- "Anyway, despite everything that happened, I hope she's okay."

- "Yeah. It's pretty awful." Cooper closes her locker and we head to class.

Kate didn't show up today, so no cheerleading. Isobel and Sarah are still in class while Cooper already left with Connor. I pass by the library to pick up a book that I need for a homework then head to the bathroom.

I'm about to get in a cabin when I hear someone sobbing. I walk to the end of the restrooms and stop in front of the last door. Someone is definitely crying in there.

I knock on the door slowly and the crying stops. A few seconds later, I am surprised to hear Kate.

- "Who's there?" Her voice breaks and she sniffles.

- "Kate?" I ask.

Suddenly, the door opens and I see Kate appears. Her face is devastated with tears.

- "What do you want?" She asks with a harsh look. I really don't know what to say.

- "I, uh, I heard you crying so I..."

- "Let me guess, you wanted to make fun of me? well too late, you missed the show." She walks by me and heads to the sink. By 'the show' I guess she meant yesterday's party. I turn around and look at her as she washes her face.

- "Why are you crying?" I ask and she puffs.

- "Like you care. Just go to your Tyler."

- "So it's about Tyler."

- "Stop acting like you know everything about everyone! You don't know what you're talking about so shut up!" She screams as water drops fall from her wet face.

- "I don't even know why I'm talking to you. This is useless." I start walking away but stop instantly when I hear her.

- "Of course. The perfect girl goes back to her perfect life."

- "What did you just say?"

- "Yes! Perfect sweet innocent Skyla and her good grades and good dance moves has all the boys wrapped around her finger without doing anything."

- "What do you even mean by this?" I say and she laughs.

- "Do you even know what it's like to have boys talking to you just 'cause they know you'll sleep with them. Or just them seeing you as their plan for the night." She starts crying again.

- "No, because I chose not to be like that."

- "So basically you're saying that I chose to be a bitch." She trashes the tissue that she wiped her face with.

- "No, I didn't say that. I just chose not to give anyone the opportunity to look at me that way. Everybody can. People treat you in function of your behaviour."

- "And you really expect me to believe that? God knows what you did to Tyler so that he looks at you that way."

- "Excuse me?"
