Tyler's pov:I drive so fast that I can't feel anything anymore, the cold wind hits my face so hard until my eyes start itching, but I don't stop. My head is filled with thoughts, mostly questions that I can't answer, and I fucking hate that. What's after the hanging out part? How am I supposed to know? I knew that getting in this shit was a bad idea. I don't know what to do and it's fucking exhausting.
I shake the thoughts out of my head and focus on the road. I turn in time to avoid hitting a wall. My motorcycle flinches though, and I fall on my right side. I get up and touch my forehead, there's some blood but nothing serious.
- "What the hell man?" Kevin comes to me.
After taking Skyla home, I called Liam to know everything about this race, and he said that the boys are already training, that explains why Kevin sent me a message telling me to bring some equipment. It's an illegal race, in two days, against some riders that we beat every year, they're dangerous dudes but we've never been scared of them.
- "I'm fine, I did a good time." I say as I put my motorcycle back on position.
- "You almost hit a fucking wall!" He screams.
- "I didn't! So fuck off, I got it."
- "What's happening to you man? She's bad for you."
- "What the fuck are you talking about?"
- "You know what I'm talking about."
- "I don't, and I'm fucking good, let's do it another time." I get on my motorcycle and head to the starting line.
This time, I focus and make a perfect course.
Skyla's different, she's passionate and so innocent. I could tell every time I kissed her. I like it, I think it's one of the reasons why I'm so drawn by her. She's smart and fun and natural, but she's hiding the real her at the same time. She's hiding under her good grades, her books and her smart girl aspects, but she has potential. Like in the karaoke, the dance battle or when she got on my motorcycle the first time, she's not scared, she wants to live, and I want to be the one who gets her to do it.
Skyla's pov:
I yawn and rub my eyes then stretch my arms. I so don't want to go to school today, I don't know what's going to happen with Tyler and I hate it. I wash my face then take a pair of blue jeans with a grey sweater. I put my hair up in a ponytail then fill my bag with everything I need and head downstairs.
I walk to school and go directly to my class. I'm not really in the mood to talk, or face anyone, I blame it on my upcoming period. Shit. I think I might skip the afternoon, I'm not feeling too well. Our English professor gets in and starts his lesson.
The bell rings and the morning classes are finally over. I need to stop by my locker to pick up some homework before going home. I get there and take what I need then head towards the exit. I'm two hallways away when I hear something behind me. I turn around and see Tyler heading in my direction.
- "What are you now? Following me?"
- "Don't flatter yourself." He smiles and I roll my eyes. He stops in front of me and that's when I notice the injury on his forehead.
- "What happened to you?" I ask while staring at his forehead.
- "Nothing. What are you doing here?"
- "Don't try to change the subject. What happened?"
- "I said nothing fucking happened." He says, harshly.
- "It's that race. Isn't it?" I put my hands on my waist.
