Chapter 31

Tyler's pov:

Was I supposed to kiss her like Connor kissed Cooper? I mean, I'd love to, I do it all the time with other girls, well, I did.

When we left the car, she was so uncomfortable. I understand her, about a hundred people were staring at her. I got used to that, but I can tell that she hates it. As soon as I put my arm around her, she loosened up and faced all the stares.

She looked amazing today, she always does. Am I supposed to tell her? I know Connor always does with Cooper. Fuck, I really don't know how to do this thing.

I head to my Spanish class with Connor and that bastard Jordan. If he makes only one comment about me and Skyla, I'll teach him all the lessons he came to learn today at school.

Skyla's pov:

I really need to find a charger. Cooper and I don't have the same phone so I hope Isobel brought hers. She usually does.

I sit at the back of the class and wait for our Math teacher to start his lesson. I wonder if Tyler went to class or he's ditching again. I hope he's studying, how is he going to pass otherwise? I don't know anything about his school habits.

The professor finally gets in and I get my stuff out of my bag and focus on the lesson.

The bell rings and it's finally lunchtime. I get up and leave the class quickly. I enter the cafeteria and take my plate then try to spot the girls. I can't help but notice multiple people staring at me and murmuring. I really hope they'll get over this soon. I hate the attention.

- "Hey!" I jump out of surprise when Isobel catches my arm.

- "You scared me." I tell her.

- "So did you. Come on we need to talk."

I follow her to where Cooper and Sarah are seated then take place beside her.

- "Now, explanations please!" Isobel says.

- "Where to begin?" I tell them.

- "I'll start." Cooper clears her voice. "So we went to the party yesterday, and Aidan turned out to be a complete jerk and he hurt Skyla. Thankfully, Tyler was there and he and Connor beat the shit out of him and Jordan, who was responsible for the whole scenario. Skyla was completely shaken after that so Tyler took her home and, that's all I know."

- "Well not exactly, I didn't want to go home with mom and all so, we just drove around New York then went to his place." I don't know why but I feel like the beach is something I should keep private. Just between Tyler and me. "We talked and well, we kind of ended up deciding to date I guess." By the time I finish, their mouths are literally hanging.

- "You slept with him?!" Cooper asks.

- "Shh don't scream! Everybody's already staring at me. And yes, well no, not like slept, slept, we just shared the same bed."

- "You asked him out?" Isobel asks.

- "No! It was his idea. I couldn't believe it at first but apparently, he's serious."

- "Wow." That's all Sarah says.

- "So? You're official?"

- "Yeah. He put his arms around me this morning. Weirdest shit ever."

- "I can imagine."

- "Speaking of which." Cooper says as she looks at something behind me.

I turn around and see Tyler, Connor, Josh and Kevin entering the cafeteria. They head to their usual table which nobody else uses and they sit.
