Peridot's Pov
"Shorts weren't such a good idea now huh?" I said handing Lapis a cup of tea.
"Oh shut up..." she grabbed it, taking a small sip.
I smiled to myself. Poor Lapis catched a cold because of yesterday. Told her it was a bad idea, but there's no stopping her.
I flopped on the bed next to her. "How you feeling right now?"
She shrugged, "okay I guess...i feel really cold though."
"Want me to turn on the heater?"
She nodded, taking another sip.
I lazily got up. I walked over to the hall, turning on the heater. Made sure it was the right temperature, and walked back Inside the room.
Instead of lying down again, I sat down on my chair. It was a gaming chair, but I used it as a working chair. I pulled it close to my working desk. I opened up my laptop, turning it on. I forgot that I needed to do some stupid PowerPoint about wildlife in one of my classes.
Lucky for me, I know everything.
"Watcha doin?.." Lapis said sitting up.
"Homework..."
"Homework?...how boring."
"Aren't you suppose to be doing homework as well?"
Lapis sticked her tongue out, "nope...well yes but why do homework when you're going to move schools..."
I shrugged, "I suppose."
....
"Lapis what are you doing?"
"Nothin..." she laid her chin ontop of my head.
I sighed, and continued typing on my laptop.
I opened separate pages, getting information from all kinds of articles. Quickly I came up with sentences to start with.
"....what are you writing about?"
"About wildlife."
"Like....outside life?"
"Wild..life Lapis.."
".....like a wild bunny?"
"Sure."
Lapis slowly lifted her chin, and walked up infront of me.
"What?"
She quickly sat on my lap, wrapping her arms around my neck.
"L-Lapis!"
She rested her head on my shoulder. Giving me a kiss on the cheek.
"....are you going to just stay here.."
"Yup."
I shook my head, and proceeded to work again.
An hour passes by and
Honestly, I thought it would be a peace of cake.
But god damn, I'm lost. I try to come up with a new sentence, but I just keep on getting lost. I look at the number of words.
Only 395.
I need to get to 1000 and I can't come up with any more ideas.
"Grrr Agh!" I slammed my fist on my desk.
I quickly regretted it, because Lapis woke up.
"What was that?..."
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake you up."
She sat up, still on my lap.
"Aw...is little Peri grumpy?"
I frowned.
