Chapter 20 - Move Out!

Peridot's Pov

I helped Lapis carry her stuff into my car.
I made room, putting everything carefully.

"Is that all?"

Lapis shrugged, "think so, we should make sure though."

I nodded, following her inside the house.

I flopped onto the couch, taking a drink of my water bottle.
I pulled out my phone, checking when we're supposed to head back to school.

"Wow thanks for the help Peri.." Lapis said taking a seat next to me.

I smiled, "just takin a break."

Lapis rolled her eyes, resting her head on my shoulder. She sighed, "it's a bummer that I have to leave.."

"We can always go out, visit each other."

"I suppose..."

I looked at her. I knew exactly when something was bothering her, her eyes were a give away.

"Still stressing?"

She slowly nodded.

I put my water bottle to the side. I gently grabbed Lapis by her shoulders, "stress isn't good for the body. I already told you. I'll be there with you...even holding your hand."

"But...what if they think different about me..."

I brought my face close to her, our foreheads touching. "They won't...they love you...and nothing will change that."

Lapis looked at me, slowly smiling. She came close, giving me a passionate kiss.

Of course I returned it back, melting into the kiss.

"I don't fucking deserve you Peri."

"Oh trust me..you do" I winked.

She laughed, "okay now. Stop being lazy and help me out with the rest of the stuff."

"Sure sure..." I went and picked up Pumpkins bowl of food and toys.

Not long after we were done with everything.
We got inside the car, Pumpkin sitting on Lapis's lap.

I started the car, driving off.

"Wanna grab something to eat before heading to your house?"

"If it's okay with you."

"Nope, it's all about you.."

"Peri you're the one paying."

"....so?"

Lapis shook her head laughing. "Alright you dork. Let's get something to eat."

"Well now I don't want to.."

"Peri shut up."

Lapis's Pov

I unlocked the door, opening it fully. Pumpkin barked, running inside.

"Looks like she missed her home" Peridot said.

We went back and forth, bringing my things from Peridot's car to my house.
I told Peri to just leave
The things in the living room. She didn't listen, and walked upstairs to my room.

Soon we were done bringing my stuff in.

I walked up to my room and fell onto my bed, sighing hard. "Damn...missed my bed.."
