Final Chapter ³⁶ ~ Big Day

Yesterday was a hell of a day.

My legs felt extremely sore, It hurts to move.

I groaned as I turned in bed, trying to wrap my arm around Lapis.
However, I don't feel her.

I open my eyes slowly, and to my surprise, she isn't in bed.

Sitting up I also realize that it was already 1 in the afternoon.

"Damn..." I said to myself as I got off my bed.

My legs felt like spaghetti noodles. It took me a second to walk into my bathroom.
I did my business, and washed my hands as I walked out.

"Lapis!" I yelled out for her.

I didn't get a response.

"Lapis?"

I made my way downstairs, thinking she might be cooking up something.

But no sight of her. Instead there was a plate of pancakes on the dinner table, and a sticky note near it.

I walked towards the table, and picked up the note.

'Hey Peridot. I made you something to eat while I went out with Garnet to get something, feel free to call me when you read this. Love you dork ;)'

I mean...she could have just told me she was going with her.
In the other hand though...pancakes.

I brought the plate of pancakes to the living room table, and turned on the tv. Like I said before, I had no plans for today.
Or the days before after.
I just wanted to relax, and take the stress off my shoulders for a bit.

Though. I kept feeling like something was supposed to happen today.
But I can't seem to get my finger on it.

Not really caring, I proceeded to watch tv as I ate the pancakes.

I stopped midway when I heard barking from outside the yard.

Totally forgot about Pumpkin.

Quickly I got up and opened the door from outside, letting her in.

I closed the door, and raced her back into the living room before she devoured the pancakes I left on the table.
She barked at me, growling afterwards.

"Hey! You can't have some. Lapis made them for me."

Pumpkin growled again, lifting her paw a bit.

"Nnn.....fine! Just a little piece.."

I tried to give her a small piece, but she bit the pancake hard, taking the whole thing.

I sighed, "god...damnit.."

I shrugged it off, and proceeded to eat while watching the tv.

There wasn't much of anything to watch, besides cartoons, or Netflix. But Netflix is boring at times. Especially when you watched mostly all movies. The good ones that is.

I finished my pancakes before I could even watch something.

Annoyed I pulled out my phone, checking my social media for entertainment.
Maybe at least I'll find something here to watch...

Scrolling through posts, I came across one of Jasper's posts.

It was about yesterday's party, partly the dance.
Me, and Lapis dancing our hearts out.

There were also pictures of the afterparty.
We decided to stay a bit longer. I groaned when I came upon the picture that Jasper took when Amethyst shoved me into the ocean water.
