"Doesn't everyone like Jihyun?" Sunwoo furrows his eyebrows.
"Hey hey, don't overreact." I chuckle.
"All of the boyz like you!" Sunwoo crosses his arms.
"So what about it, strawberry?" I glare at him.
"N-Nothing! I'm just stating the obvious." He blushes.
"Sunwoo is jealous~" Eric coos.
"Shut up you little shit face, you're jealous too!" Sunwoo yells at him.
"Of course I am, I love Jihyun~" Eric's phone gets a notification and he checks it.
"You guys are so childish.." I finish the last spoon of oatmeal.
"Hyungs asked if we want to hang out." Eric looks up at Sunwoo.
"Say yes."
"You guys can go, my back is aching and I'm pretty exhausted." I say to them.
"I want to stay home with you, Hyunnie.. but hyungs promised to get me a Pororo plushy." Eric pouts his lips. "I'll be back at night."
"That's okay Eric, just be safe. The both of you." I look at them two. "Bring medication packs just in case, Eric."
"I don't want to go. I'm lazy." Sunwoo says.
"Can you guys stay home alone?" Eric looks at us skeptically.
"Why wouldn't we be able to?" Sunwoo laughs.
"We'll be okay. Just be safe. Tell them I told them to take care of you." I stare seriously at Eric.
"Okay!" He smiles and runs upstairs.
I chuckle and go over to wash the dishes after I put some loud music on using my phone. When I was done, I grabbed my phone and sat down at the sofa; Sunwoo sped run over and sat down next to me.
We hear loud thumps coming downstairs; we look behind and see Eric already dressed up. He walks over to us and puts his arms around me, pinching me on the cheek.
"I'll be back later, Hyunnie. Don't do anything weird."
"Of course not." I scoff.
"Have fun." Sunwoo says.
"Bye Sunny, bye Hyunnie."
He lets go of me and we hear the door open, close and lock. I breathe out and turn off the music, leaning my back against the sofa while wrapping myself with a blanket.
"Hey, are you really that close with Eric? You guys act like you're dating," Sunwoo frowns at me.
"We're just really close, Sunwoo." I look at him reassuringly.
"Even if you guys are close, that's a bit TOO close.."
"What's wrong with it, Sunwoo?"
"Never mind, it's nothing." He mumbled, breaking eye contact.
"There's nothing to be upset about, him and I are only friends." I tell him.
"Just forget about it, Jihyun." He says to me in sort of a harsh tone.
"Okay.." I keep myself from arguing back.
The atmosphere was now awkward and there was a bit of tension between us, as I wasn't able to say anything; I was a bit ticked off with the tone he used on me, and I knew if I spoke up, I would've said something problematic out of aggravation; so I kept quiet.
All of a sudden, I feel his heavy ass head rest on my shoulder. I flinch a little out of surprise since it was out of nowhere, and my whole body was flaming up with aggravation and annoyance: something about the way he talked to me was really infuriating.
"Sorry, Jihyun. I just got a bit upset for no reason.." he sighs.
"That's okay." I say blankly.
I guess I'm just overreacting, or the hormones are getting to me because I'm getting my period soon.
"Don't be mad at me, I was just overreacting~" he whines.
"That's fine." I say.
"Jihyun, don't be mad!"
"I said that it's fine, Sunwoo."
He falls silent and moves his head off of my shoulder, scooting farther away from me without saying a word.
I gulp, the uneasy tension making me uncomfortable; I just didn't know what to say to him because the annoyance was boiling up inside me.
I get that he's jealous, I really do. I'm aware of that, but he knows how Eric is; Eric is touchy and affectionate, and besides: we've been friends since babies, therefore we're the closest we can be.
I'm not sure what he wants me to do. I know that he has feelings for me and it's natural for him to be jealous because I have a male best friend, but like... Eric is my best friend. Besides, best friends are way more important to me than relationships in my opinion.
"You shouldn't have lied and told me that you like ME." He speaks up in a sad tone.
