"I think I'm in trouble, Jihyun..." Younghoon runs his fingers through his hair, looking frustrated.
"Why? What's up?" I ask him.
"I think I fell for this girl." He sighs.
"What's wrong with that? You're handsome, you can get any girl you wanted! Just be confident and ask her out." I suggest.
"No, it's more complicated than that.."
"How so?" I ask, getting nervous.
"I don't wanna get into details, it's just too complicated. I don't know what to do, I didn't think I'd fall for her. She's everything I could ever want."
Younghoon wanted to meet up with me on a Sunday afternoon, a day before school started again; we've been getting a little closer the past break and we've been talking way more.
I guess he's been a bit weirder than usual; he gets easily flustered every time we make eye contact and it's not like usual. I'm just praying to death the girl he's talking about isn't me; I'm not trying to be cocky, but I have a gut feeling I'm the one he's talking about. He's handsome and really kind, but my heart is still fixated on Sunwoo.
"I'm sorry to hear that, Younghoon- I hope everything goes well for you and her. Maybe wait a few days to see if things resolve, then see if it's your chance." I give him advice.
"Gosh, I'm in trouble..." he pouts his lips.
"You'll be fine, Younghoon! If it doesn't work out, there's plenty of other girls out there. You just need to wait and find the right one." I pat his back, comforting him.
"But I want her. My heart jumps every time I see her; she's smart, funny, bad ass, kind, beautiful, pretty, everything!" He exclaims.
"If you truly love her, then things won't be too complicated." I say, before we get interrupted by the other guys.
"Jihyun? Younghoon? What are you guys doing here alone?" Sangyeon says, running up to us including the others.
"Did we interrupt a date?" Eric's eyebrows raise.
"This was nowhere near a date. I had to ask her for advice." Younghoon laughs.
Okay, he didn't get flustered; he doesn't like me, then. Usually they'd get flustered easily about dates and things like this if they had feelings for someone. I'm relieved.
"Advice about what, hyung?" Sunwoo pouts his lips.
"None of your business, Sunny Boy." Younghoon deadpans.
"Sunny Boy- I would beat your ass if you weren't my hyung." Sunwoo sits down next to me on the bench, staring at the ocean behind the wooden fence.
"Sunwoo is always so aggressive. Why so aggressive, man?" Kevin coos, making Sunwoo glare at him.
"I can't believe break is already over... we have to go back to school." Changmin whines.
"I know, right?! I hate seeing humans.." Eric fusses.
"It doesn't really matter for me. I have all my classes with Jihyun, anyway." Sunwoo smiles proudly.
"Dude, I know you're a yandere, but I didn't know you were THAT bad.." Kevin mutters in disgust.
"Seriously, Sunwoo's even worse than Eric. And that says A LOT." Hyunjae sucks his teeth.
"What is a yandere?" Hyunjoon asks.
"It's when someone is overly obsessive about another person. In this case, Sunwoo is overly obsessed with Jihyun." Chanhee explains.
"What the- what is wrong with you, Sunwoo? Don't be a yandere, you're a man!" Hyunjoon smacks Sunwoo's shoulder blade lightly.
"I just need to protect Jihyun!" Sunwoo argues.
"Protect her from what? The air?" Changmin laughs loudly.
"He probably wants no air from other guys to be around her.. like the yandere he is." Jacob laughs as well.
"You reveal your obsessive behavior for Jihyun too much, Sunwoo."
"Oh boy, yanderes these days..."
"He probably wants a tattoo of Jihyun's face on his chest."
"Yeah, right here!" Kevin points to his chest while laughing.
"Don't make fun of him, he just wants to be a keeper to Jihyun."
"DDD" Haknyeon cackles weirdly.
"Giddy up guys, this isn't the last time we'll experience yandere Sunwoo."
"His ego probably goes bloom bloom every time he sees her."
"Checkmate~"
"Look at him. Eric's totally salty."
"What the fuck is wrong with you guys??" Sunwoo bursts out.
"I'm not even salty!" Eric crosses his arms.
"You guys must be aging backwards. You all are childish." I rub my temples.
"You can't blame us, it's like we're the audience watching a Korean drama!" Jacob exclaims.
"Yeah, it's too interesting. How could you NOT be invested in something like this? We all have ship names, too." Kevin claps his hands like a seal.
"#JiRic and #JiWoo" Chanhee snorts.
"What... the... fuck...." Sunwoo mutters.
"What is wrong with you hyungs...." Eric face palms.
"Seriously, did your lives become a living K-Drama while I was gone?!"
