"Jihyun, I have the appointment at 5 today. Are you still coming with me?" Sunwoo leans over while looking at me.
"Yeah, I will." I said, sipping a strawberry milk out of the cute little carton.
It was currently 6:30 a.m, I'm usually not out the house until 7 but today was a little different. Sunwoo asked to meet up with me a little earlier, and when I asked him why, he said it was because he wanted some alone time with me before school started.
Initially I refused, because around 6:30, I'm eating breakfast, but he had begged and whined until it got annoying so I had to eventually give in to him.
I didn't mind spending alone time with Sunwoo; I enjoyed being with him, actually. I didn't mind it one bit. I acted like I hated the idea of spending half an hour with him in the morning before school, but secretly I was happy he wanted to and took the imitative to ask.
We were just sitting on a bench next to each other, a few blocks away from the school. We had stopped by the convenience store that was nearby just to get some drinks and snacks for the morning and also for the rest of the day.
"You don't have to, you know. But, it would be nice if you tagged along." He scrunches his nose up at me.
"I already promised you I would go. Besides, I don't have practice or studies today after school anyway." I respond to him.
"Weren't you supposed to be going somewhere with Eric today after school? I heard him mentioning it in the group chat." Sunwoo says, as he breaks a piece off of some banana bread in his hand.
"We were. He canceled though, because I told him I'm going with you to the doctor's and also, he has to take care of his family." I nod my head slightly.
"I'm happy you're going with me instead, then." He gives me a bubbly smile that gave me warmth in my stomach and heart.
I smile back. "I guess I'm happy too."
"Ahh, I'm so nervous about the doctor's appointment! What if they check me out and reveal that I have some life-threatening illness? What if they tell me I'm dying in a few years, I won't be able to live life without no worries! What if I have to have surgery and I die during it or something?" Sunwoo rambles, obviously a bit panicked.
I chuckle softly at his words. "I'm sure it's nothing, Sunwoo. Don't worry too much. Everything will be okay."
"If you say so, I'll trust you." He pokes my cheek with a grin on his face.
"Good. You have nothing to worry about." I pat his head softly.
"Oooh! After the doctor's appointment, I'm thinking of dying my hair. I don't want to go to the salon because they always damage my hair, so I might just dye it myself. Can I do it at your house?" He mentions.
"Of course. I just noticed how faded your red is getting. It's like a salmon pink now." I nod my head. "What color are you doing?"
"Pure black." He smiles at me, looking excited.
"This will be interesting. I haven't seen you in any hair color besides red. I think you'll look really good in black." I respond.
"Really, Jihyun? You think so?" He goes in and kisses my lips, pulling away after I kiss him back.
"I know so." I smile.
"You should do it for me! That way it's easier to get every piece of hair." He puts his hand on my thigh, giving it a squeeze.
"Sure. I've dyed Taehyun's hair before."
"If we dyed my hair at our house, the hyungs would've made fun of me." He rolls his eyes with a grin.
