"You're going to have to give up the name sooner or later cupcake" Muna taunts and Paris squirms under her piercing gaze

Let me explain the situation

Muna has successfully convinced me not to sue the school but instead pay the bully a little visit

"Why would you even protect her? Look what she did to you" I say and gesture to her busted lip

"Why are you with her on this? You stopped me from doing this before" she whines

"Yeah, that was before she nearly killed you and almost caused me to kill myself. It could have been two funerals, muffin" I retort

"Hold up" Muna's face splits into a huge grin "Does this mean you'll start driving me places now?"

I tut at the big head and ignore her, turning back to Paris

Her eyes meet mine, and I hold the gaze, trying to stare her down with as much seriousness as I can muster

She rolls her eyes "Fine! Just don't hurt her."

"Do I even want to know why you're sticking up for her?" Muna sighs "Name, please?"

"Nat" she mumbles

"I didn't quite catch that" I comment with a smile

"Natasha," she says a bit louder

"I swear I hate bullies with pretty names" Muna complains "They should have a name like Boniface or Sunday."

My brows scrunch in confusion "Who the hell names their children that?"

"Nigerians will surprise you" Muna is entirely back with her horse laughter and wheezing. I shake my head softly

"Have you called your mum? She should be worried sick about you. Poor woman" I say

"I called her this morning and told her I would be home today," Paris says and gets out of the bed. She's been in bed ever since Jace, and I brought her home yesterday

"Will you tell her about all this?" I ask quietly because I know she doesn't want her mum to know for whatever reasons she has

"Maybe. I haven't decided on that yet" she shrugs, walking into the bathroom and closing the door behind her "And I'm going home on my own"

"Nope. That's not happening" I shake my head vigorously

"Autumn, I'm fine. There's no reason for you to come on an hour's journey with me" she smiles

"The girl's got a point. I don't think my sore ass can take any movement lasting more than ten minutes" Muna gingerly rubs her ass, and I glare

"Back me up here" But she steps away with her hands in surrender. Traitor

"I win!" Paris squeaks happily and goes back into the bathroom before I can argue

"Okay, so what's our plan? Do we beat up the bully? Alert her parents? Pull a serious prank?" Muna perks up with suggestions immediately Paris is out of earshot

"Let's get there first," I say to her, and we sneak out of the room to carry out the stealth mission

Jace isn't home, so we don't encounter him on our way out. He's gone to take care of the heavy scratches and fall out of the bumper of my car

Hey! I said I drove, didn't say I performed a miracle of getting there perfectly

At least was hit on my way

We get into Muna's car and she pulls out of the driveway. It's about half an hour before the high school closes for the day, so Muna is driving like she's auditioning for the fast and furious movies
