"So to what do I owe this pleasant ambush?" Mrs Black asks I plup down on her sofa and Muna raids her fridge
We had both been bored all day so we went to Jenny's office but we were painfully thrown out cause she was busy having meetings
At least we did get money for lunch which we spent gloriously in some restaurant eating only the heavens know what
Which leads me to being confused as to what Muna is still searching for in the refrigerator since we should be bloated from how much we've eaten
Well I know I am hence the couch stance
"Sorry Mrs B, we just didn't have anywhere else to go" I say when she joins me in the living room
Even though she's my lecturer, we still find ourselves coming over for her great company when we decide not be cooped up in our room
"Were you kicked out of the dorms?" She asks confused and I laugh
"No, no. We just didn't feel like staying on school ground today" I explain
"Tell the truth Fall" Muna appears with a can of whipped cream in her hand. She flops on the sofa and her feet nearly enter into my mouth
I throw her legs off my body that she has so well placed like it a table, but she just brings it back to the position again so I give up
"Don't call me that, it's not my name" I whine
"It's the equivalent to your name so it's equal to being your name" she ends her speech by stuffing her mouth with cream
"So that means I can call you Togetherness" I ask with a smug look on my face
"Nooooooooooooooooooo, that's totally different" she explains to Mrs B "My name means Together with God. It's an Igbo cultural name in Nigeria. Don't mind Fall" I snicker quietly
"You have a beautiful name, sweetheart. I won't mind Fall" Mrs Black laughs quietly as my mouth stands agape
And here I was thinking she was in my side
"So what's the truth I'm yet to hear about?" She asks
"The fact that Fall has shipped us out of school so that she doesn't have to meet with 'he who shall not be named' in order to deny her feelings some more"
I glare at Muna before turning to Mrs Black
"That's not it at all" I explain genuinely but it seems to be falling on deaf ears
"What's his name?" She asks
"There's no him" I reply as Muna says
"Jace" and I stare her down
"Doesn't he treat you right?" Mrs B asks me and I immediately jump to defense mode
"No! The problem isn't him, it's me" I say glumly, sulking back into the sofa
"Then what is the problem?" She asks and I stay silent
"See? She just immediately goes dumb like you asked her about a murder she commited" Muna comments and I resist the urge to smack her head
"Do you know what this is about?" Mrs B asks her and she nods
"Of course, I do. Perks of being the best friend, I guess. But I need her to say it herself" she shrugs
"People! I'm right here" I comment before they finally acknowledge my presence
"You have to talk to so we can help you" Mrs B chides
