I straddle his body as I try to reach for his phone from behind him. His laugh fills my ears and his eyes are light with humor
One of his hand hides the phone away from me and the other is settled on my hip, not at all perturbed by my incessant struggle to grab his phone. Sure! Let's all show how much stronger than Autumn we are!
I'm easily tired of how much effort I'm putting into this so I just slump in defeat and stare at his laughing face
I guess it's true what they say; Karma truly is a bitch since I've been doing same to him. He makes the worst faces when he's brushing his teeth and it's so fun to watch and take pictures of. Good times!
Jace just probably took the worst photo of me that I've ever seen in all of my 19 years being on planet earth. Okay, too much description
A mischievous smile lights up my features when I remember that I still have the blackmail picture I took of Muna ages ago and I smile even wider when I piece in where we're about to go
"Why are you smiling like you're Joker's sidekick?" Jace looks at me sceptically. He straightens up and now our bodies are pressed together with his arms circling around me
"Cause I have a picture of Muna sleeping like a he-goat that she is and I'm going to make her do something for me so I won't show it to Jen" I grin. My eyes close in pure bliss as I imagine all the evil things I can do with that picture
I feel a flick on my forehead and my eyes fly open to find Jace staring at me like a crazy person
"Oww! That hurt" I press my palm to my head and I know I'm being dramatic but who cares right?
"You're not doing anything with the picture" he says with a straight face
"Come on! This is a grand opportunity. I'm doing it" I retort
"You're not"
"I am"
"Not"
"Am"
"Excuse me, preschool students" our faces snap to Muna watching us like a babysitter that is tired of her job
"Random thought" Jace says to me and we turn away from her despite the menacing look she's giving us
"I miss that show, 'my babysitter's a vampire'. Did you watch it?" He asks
"Yeahhhhhhhhhh! I didn't really watch it all the time but it was fun" I respond, my hands behind his neck now and massaging their ways into his roots
He grins at me as his face feels my palm "Me neither. How about we do that for halloween?" His face brightens with the idea and I laugh at the 7 year old child
"That's a great idea"
"Mhmm, I'll turn you" he grins, his lips attacking me as his face nuzzles into the crook of my neck. I laugh and try to get out of his grip but his hands pin my waist down and I can't move
"Jace stop!" I laugh, unable to control the snort that escapes my lips but nothing stops him as he laughs against my skin
Then Muna happened
I don't know what classes she took or if her aim is just that good naturally. The book she throws hits us both on the arm, I don't know how. But it doesn't hurt and is able to grab our attention
"Sorry to bother you, cozy people, but we've got somewhere to be" she looks disgusted but I notice how her lips are tightening the smile that's trying to break free
"You're the one we're waiting for! You've been dressing for the past half hour. It's just your mum we're going meet, not your lover" he rolls his eyes
"You don't know her mother. Whenever Jane here looks funny, her mum disowns her immediately" I laugh
There was this one time we were having breakfast with Jen on campus and she totally ignored Muna's existence cause she came dressed in pyjamas. Good times!
"Preach sister, although keep the other name away from it" she winks "Which sock should I wear?" She holds up two different socks
"Wear the pink" I say and try to get off Jace but he doesn't let me
"I don't know, I'm not really feeling it" she shrugs and stares at the sock
"Wear one of each, it's not like it's going to show in your shoes anyways" Jace comments nonchalantly while playing with my hair. I slap his hand away because of how long it took me to get it done
"Well well well! Look at you thinking out of the socks" she laughs and snorts at her own joke while actually putting on the two different pairs. The girl has zero game on comedy
Jace stares at her with his brows raised in surprise and I sigh heavily but she brushes it off. There is certainly no way to make her feel stupid when she already feels highly of herself
He turns to me with a question on his face and I pat his shoulder in reassurance "Don't ask, just go with the flow" I laugh and kiss the corner of his mouth, attempting to get off him and my bed
"Nope" he says and flips us over so that he's hovering above my body. He grins before his lips meet mine in the lightest contact possible, feathery bliss goes though my body as he kisses me in the softest way known to mankind
His lips play with mine and when I feel his smile on my skin, I can't help but mirror it. He pecks my mouth and then the corners of my lips in a tease
Every time I kiss him, it feels different. No one is talking about some dumb girl that has all sparks flying everywhere in her head
I pull him closer to deepen the kiss but he pulls away and grins mysteriously at me before hopping out of bed. Dear God, what have I gotten myself into
"Cozy people, we have to go" Muna says impatiently from the door way. Jace offers me a hand to get off the bed and tucks me under his arm as we trail behind Munachi
"What's with all the name calling?" I grumble and when she turns to me with a stink eye, I smile sweetly and walk faster away from her and Jace
"Yeah that's what I thought" she laughs from behind me and I stick out my tongue at her. She runs to catch up with me and that's how we end up playing the game of chase like five year olds
My laugh resonates in the air behind me and I hope to stay as happy as I am at the moment but I've probably already jinxed it be mentioning it
