I make an attempt to put my wardrobe in order since Muna has finally left me to my own self-consciousness and peace of mind. I fully intend to make use of this sacred weekend without her to its full maximum
Muna and her family have gone on a three days retreat to visit an Aunt in another town and so I decide to use my quiet time to get my life in order since I can't actually do that when the main ruckus is around
But even in her absence, she still influences me. I have on Davido's, a Nigerian musician she introduced me to, newest album; a good time, on repeat
It's super good!
I skip around the room, dancing and organising the entire room, and even the dungeon Muna calls a wardrobe
A new song from the list starts playing and I'm already hooting, waving the top in my hand above my head and getting ready to kill it with my nonexistent good moves when my phone starts ringing
My mood deflates and turn to glare at my phone
I was about to kill it!
I lower the volume of my iPod and pick the call
"Can you quit calling me like we're friends cause we're not" I tell him, wedging the phone on my shoulder as I move back towards the wardrobe to keep folding
"I'm calling cause I'm boooorreeeddd!!" He groans and I glare at my phone
"Find Nobi then, and where is Dieter? I haven't heard from him in a while" I say
"He left to handle some company stuff and said to should call when I'm ready to give him the story he wants" I can literally hear his eyeballs roll in their socket
I laugh "That sounds just about what he'd say"
"Back to me. I'm bored and hungry"
"Are you five? Go buy food or cook yourself something, the kitchen's big enough for any disaster you may cause" I tease
"Ha ha. You know my cooking is pretty good" he says and I can tell he's pouting
"I know, just teasing" I chuckle to myself, now attempting to straighten Muna's bed when I hear a knock on the door
"I thought Muna wasn't in?" He asks
"Can't I be visited? Aren't I a human person capable of being visited?" I ask and when he just hums in response, I laugh cause I know he's speechless "Besides, Muna would never knock"
I walk to the door and swing it ajar. My brows crease in confusion when I see an unknown man holding up a picnic basket with a pad and pen held out to me
"Uhm wrong room?" I say, totally unsure of what's going on
"Nah. Are you Autumn Dawson?" He asks and I nod
"Autumn, it's a man? You're having a man over without telling me?!" Jace's voice hollers and I sigh deeply
"Okay. Sign here please" he shows me a spot on the pad "Package from your father. Enjoy and send us a review" the guy hands me the basket and leaves
When I peep in and see a breakfast set, I roll my eyes because I now understand the situation and immediately know I'll soon be annoyed
At least this time he's sending the apology before the crime
"Will you shut your trap? It's a delivery" I snap at the still talking Jace
"Oh. From who?" He asks
"My dad. He probably did something wrong and sent me his signature breakfast apology" I roll my eyes again and decide to call him
"Call him then" No shit, Sherlock "Add him to this call"
