Muna is frantically turning the whole room into a war zone and I refuse to say anything to the monkey because I'm done organising and redecorating this room the half a million times that I've done it already
She flings pieces of clothes out of her wardrobe and they flail all over. Some land of the face of my laptop, blocking me and my peace from watching our movie in quietness. I pick it off my screen in disgust and throw it right back at her
She turns to glare pointedly at me when the clothes hit her head. I flash her an innocent smile before rolling my eyes and turning back to my movie. Crap, I didn't pause it
She switches to my wardrobe and repeats the motion of throwing clothes about. Neither the wardrobe being abused nor the strewn clothes around the room bother me until something heavy slaps me on the face
"Can you please find whatever the fuck it is you need and get the hell out of the room" I stare her down while she cowers in the corner. She looks like a deer caught at headlights as she freezes before an awkward smile is plastered on her face
I bunch up the leather jacket she flinged my way and throw it right back at her. Since she's already conscious and facing me, she catches it easily. Pfft. Show off gym users
"Calm down there, tiger" she chuckles lightly with a slight shake of her head "Why does it feel like I'm in the middle of a battle field that has nothing to do with me?"
"Probably because you have my entire wardrobe substituted for the floor. Where the fuck are you going that you need to bring down the whole room first?" I'm now kneeling on my bed with my arms crossed, having closed my laptop to look her square in the face
"Nope, don't change the subject. What happened with Jace?" She moves her desk and sits crossed legs, facing me
I roll my eyes dramatically "Why do you just suddenly assume that everything has to do with him? I had a life before he came along" I don't know why I've gone into defence mood but it does feel like I'm trying to reassure myself rather than actually replying her
It only been a day since we fought but my chest has been squeezed and tight ever since. I miss him. I won't even lie to myself any further. I've gotten so used to having him around and every time we fight and go our separate ways, it hurts worse than the last
I know what all of this means. I'm not a dumb dumb from some dumb book playing dumb with some dumb boy while dumbly staying ignorant of the dumb fact that she likes the dumb boy. That's a lot of dumb's in one sentence
But I'm afraid. I hate commitment and every responsibility that comes with liking a person. Let's not forget the dumb choices too because we're talking about me, the queen of all bad decisions
"Saturn to Autumn" Muna's fingers snap loudly from across the room. Damn, where did she learn to snap like that?
"Saturn? We're on earth" I state obviously
"Funny story, I didn't attend school the week planets, continents and countries of the world were taught. I'm just now learning it" she laughs very happily with herself, throwing her head back and clapping in joy
Wow
"After 19 years you decide to learn? 19 years later, not even the next week or the next year" I face palm. I've been dealing with the laziest fool ever
"Don't give that judgy-judgy look you have on" she points a finger at my face after having gotten over her one man comedy show "Now spill"
"Nothing happened, okay? Drop it" I say and begin to pack all the clothes she's thrown around the room. Yeah yeah, I know I said I wouldn't do it but I can't help it. I don't have OCD or anything but it's a nervous habit
If I told Muna that I actually like Jace, my ears would never hear the end of it. That girl has the largest mouth ever and I'm pretty sure she'd tell Jace before I even have the chance to tell him. Pfft, not that I plan to or anything
"It's fine if you don't want to talk about it but I just hope you know that you know that I know that you know somewhere deep down inside that I know, you know?" She turns to her table, retouching her make-up
"Uhm what?" I blink a little bit of a million times, staring at her back. I don't think my brain understood anything she just said. She just has to say it again, I'll get my pen and pad to write that down....
She groans before turning to face me "This isn't some stupid romance book where the girl likes the guy and the guy likes the girl but all the stupidity in the damn wide world stands in the way, except that what the author wants cause no one wants to read that kind of shit anymore" she stares up at the ceiling like she talking to some unknown being
Hey! That's what I said too but....
"Uhm what?" What author? What's this dummy talking about?
"If you say 'uhm what' one more time, I'll melt your goddamn eyeballs out" she points the curling iron in her hand at me and I flinch away with a careful smile on my face
"N..no need to get violent" I laugh and continue packing up the clothes
"Both of you should talk shit out and give me some grandbabies. Have you guys heard of that option before? People talk when they have problems. They talk!" She exclaims, exasperated
"Number one, you're not my mother so you can't be having any grandbabies from me" I roll my eyes and shove her clothes into her wardrobe without a care in the world
"Two. No one, absolutely no one, is bringing any grandbabies here cause I don't know where you're going all dressed up" I face her with a power pose
"Thank you for asking. I'm going on a date" she beams and stands to her feet. She admires herself in the mirror as she slips her feet into our Nike 270 sneakers. Good thing we we're both the same shoe size so that we get to buy shoes we can share
I don't mean anything I just said to her because I know that she won't get pregnant from this date she's going on, neither anyone she goes on in the future except she changes from the Muna I know
"Are you coming back tonight?" I ask, half expecting her to come back. I picture her tongue deep down some poor human being's throat so I gag mentally and physically too
She laughs heartily and I can't resist smiling along with her because of her infectious laugh. It's a pleasure always to hear her beautiful laughter
"You guessed right, I'm not" she grabs her purse from her table and I decide to clear the door way for her royal majesty to pass
She hugs me tightly "Eat before you sleep and lock the door so no one steals stuff while you're asleep, okay?" She lets me go
"Yes mum. Now go before you're late" I laugh and push her out the door. When she's gone, I smile and continue to clear the clothes around the doorway
It's doesn't take three minute into my old lady cleaning before I hear a knock on the door. Aww she doesn't want to hit me if she barges in the way she does like she's the one who made the door
"What? Your date died while waiting forever for you?" I laugh and open up the door but it isn't Muna I see
Yeah, you guessed right
Muna's mum
