Carly's POV
I was in the kitchen eating lucky charms when Mirna came down the stairs
"Ma'am," I said
She turned her head in my direction.
"I made up my mind about the question.."
"Ok well, what do you wanna know?"
"Who's that guy.. in the big picture"
".. my son"
"What's his name?"
She was about to say something until there was a loud thud upstairs. She quickly ran up there leaving me behind.
I followed behind her and peeked in the room. The boy was out of his bed stumbling around. Mirna stopped him and talked to him.
He didn't say anything and backed away. They had a long conversation and he just nodded. She walked back out and looked at me.
"Who's that?" I asked
"Now you're asking too many questions dear" she chuckled walking downstairs
I furrowed my eyebrows. If she wasn't gonna tell me I'm gonna find out. I peeked in and saw the boy laying on the bed.
I walked in and his head jolted in my direction.
"Who are you?" He asked
His hazel eyes glistened as they looked at me.
"I-.. I'm Carly, who are you?"
"Joseph" he sat up
I looked at the bandage on his stomach and walked closer to him.
"What happened to you?"
"I don't remember.." he rubbed his head
"Is that lady your mom?"
He just shrugged. Everything got silent it was kinda awkward.
"Ok well, you get sleep.. I'm going to go" I walked out
He didnt say anything and I closed the door. I walked down more hallways of the house and found another room. I walked in and turned on the light.
It looked like a girl stayed here. I walked in and peeked around at everything. Nothing out of the ordinary just probably a girl's room.
I walked out into another room across from this one. It was the biggest room I've seen so far. I saw something glistening on the dresser and walked over to it.
It was a picture. It was that guy in the big picture and joseph and a girl. She reminded me of me. If I'm being honest.
"Hey!"
I jumped and turned around. I saw joseph standing there.
"The lady said no wandering around what are you doing in here?"
I showed him the picture and he looked at it confused.
"Who are these people?" He asked
"I thought you would know?"
He shook his head "I don't remember them"
"That guy looks like you" I pointed out.
He shrugged "I still don't know him"
"Hey you two-" Mirna stopped as she saw us standing together
Her frown formed into a smile
"You look just like them"
