I opened my eyes and groaned at the lights, I was in the living room. "Oh, you're awake. How are you feeling sweetie?" Michelle said as my eyes focused fully, "I feel alright, where is everyone?" I asked and she smiled softly at me,

"Colby is upstairs checking on Mia and your dad is taking Stephanie to the airport." She said and I scrunched my face up, "why?" I asked and she frowned, pushing my hair from my forehead gently, "I told her to go home. I'm sorry for how she treated you." She said gently but I was just confused, "w-what?" I asked and she frowned again, "do you remember what happened?" She asked gently as I racked my brain, "no." I decided and she nodded, "okay. That's okay. You and Stephanie didn't get along very well, but it's okay, you'll never have to see her again." She said softly as I nodded slowly.

"I really like you." I said to Michelle as she laughed softly, "I really like you too." She said as Colby came into the room, "hey, there she is." He said gently and came over to the couch I was laying on, "how are you feeling?" He asked and grabbed my hand, rubbing little circles on it. "Okay. I feel okay." I said and sat up slowly, with a little help from Colby. "She doesn't remember what happened." Michelle said and Colby sucked in a breath, then let his face relax almost immediately, "that's okay. What is the last thing you remember?" He asked and I tried to think. "I...I was on the phone with dad. He was upset that I hit Stephanie." I said then gasped, "oh my god is she mad at me? Is that why she went home? Will you tell her I'm sorry?" I asked and frowned.

Michelle forced a smile onto her face and nodded, "I'll tell her." She said then looked up at Colby.

"Thank you. Where's dad?" I asked and Michelle gasped slightly then looked at me.

"He's taking Stephanie to the airport." She said slowly and I nodded, "wait why?" I asked and Michelle bit her lip, "oh no..." Michelle whispered and I scrunched my brow. "What?" I asked feeling the tension in the room growing. "Nothing, Colby I need to talk to you for a second. Cora, hang tight we will be right back." She said then they both went into the hallway.

Why was everyone acting so weird? I felt fine, maybe a little headache but nothing major. Dad wouldn't be acting so weird I don't think. Where was he? I thought he would for sure be with Michelle right now? And where was Stephanie? I needed to apologize for hitting her. I can't believe I did that, I mean she kind of deserved it but I have never really been one to be violent.

I looked around the room and got up, I had to find Colby. I got up and stumbled to the doorway, looking around for Colby, and where was dad? I shook my head feeling myself starting to get upset. I turned the corner to see Colby and Michelle talking, I really liked Michelle. I had to make sure I told her that. I thought she was a really good fit for my dad.

"Hey, what are you doing up?" Colby asked when he turned to me. He had a sad look on his face, "why are you sad? Wait. Where's dad? Oh my god did something happen to him?" I asked feeling the hysterics boil up. "No love, it's okay. He's fine. He's taking Stephanie to the airport." He said and wrapped his arms around me as I started to cry. "Wait why? Is she mad at me? Oh my god...can you tell her I'm sorry?" I said to Michelle causing her face twisted as she started to cry.

"Oh my god, are you okay? Did something happen to dad? Oh my god." I said as Colby held me tighter. "No love, come on you're tired..let's take you to bed." He said and looked down at me with a sad expression, "are you okay? Is Mia okay? Where is she?" I asked and reached up to wipe a tear from his cheek, "She's okay, she's upstairs. Let's go see her." He said and started leading me to the stairs.

Everyone was acting so strange. Something must have happened. Dad wasn't here, did something happen to him? Or did something happen to Mia? I froze and looked at Colby as I started to cry, "what is it love?" He asked and looked at me with sad eyes, "you guys are acting really weird." I said as he wiped a tear from my cheek with his thumb, "we aren't trying to, let's just go see Mia, I think she will make you feel better." He said with a smile as we walked up the stairs.

I heard the front door open and close as we made it up the stairs and to Mia's room. Michelle went to go greet the person who came into the house as Colby brought me to Mia. "Why are we up here?" I asked and furrowed my brow, not even realizing we were in a completely different room. "You wanted to see Mia." Colby said gently as he led me to the rocking chair, "oh okay." I said as he brought her over.

"Hi sweet girl." I cooed happily at her as she looked up at me, I scrunched my face and looked up at Colby, "is dad here?" I asked and he smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes. Did something happen? I felt tears prick my eyes as Mia grabbed my hair, "I think he's downstairs. He's okay love." He said and leaned down to kiss my head. "Is Stephanie here? I have to apologize." I said and he just shook his head.

Michelle and dad came into the nursery as I bounced Mia, "hey! Where's Stephanie?" I asked as dad smiled slightly at me, "I took her to the airport." He said and I frowned, "what? Why? Is she mad because I hit her? I'm really sorry about that. I hope she's not mad at me." I said as dad frowned just like the others.

What was going on?

"Why are you all looking at me like that?" I asked as my heart started beating out of my chest. "Is everything okay?" I asked as Colby knelt down next to the rocking chair and soothed my hair down. "Everything is okay. I have to go make a phone call." He said and leaned forward to kiss my cheek.

"Okay. Can you find Stephanie when you're out there? I have to apologize." I said and looked down at Mia who was smiling up at me happily. When I said that Michelle started crying again as my dad just frowned and looked at me.
