When we got to the house the same eerie vibe was back, sending shivers down my spine.

I closed my eyes and took a shaky breath in as Colby put his hand on my thigh. He gave me a minute to collect myself. I eventually opened my eyes and looked over at him as he gave me a small smile, "Let's kick some ghost ass." He said and got out of the car.

I pulled Mia out of the car seat and sighed, "mommy and daddy will protect you." I said quietly and kissed her head as we walked up to where the others were.

"This is Colby, Cora, and Mia." Sam said to the priest pointing to each of us, "it's nice to meet you, you can call me David." The priest said as I shook his hand. "Nice to meet you." I said quietly and looked down at Mia who was looking at David wearily. "Is she going to be a part of this?" He asked and I shook my head, "we were wondering if you could bless and cleanse her before the two of us go back into the house so she can be as far from it as possible." Colby said and snaked his arm around my waist, pulling me against him.

"I think that's a great idea, I assume you have people that aren't involved that will watch her. I will have to do the cleanse with them holding her. If it's attached to either of you when I do it, we don't want you holding her. Children are always more susceptible to be latched on to." He said as a shiver ran down my spine. "Okay." Colby said and nodded, "great! Let's get started with that then. Go ahead and hand her off to the person who will be watching her when you two are in the house." He said and I turned to Cassie and Reggie. We called them to come and take care of Mia.

My lip quivered as I looked down at her, this was the hardest thing I think I would ever have to do.

"I love you sweet girl." I whispered and kissed her head. I paused and took a second to remember this moment, to really soak it in because I had a feeling things were about to get hectic.

I held her tightly for just another second before passing her over to Colby. "I love you princess, we will see you soon." He said and kissed her head before handing her off to Reggie.

She immediately starting crying which broke my heart into a million pieces, "it's okay sweetheart, we are here." I said and grabbed her hand as David started to explain what would happen. He needed to take her away from everyone and the house to fully cleanse her since the house hasn't been cleansed or exorcised.

We all stood on the porch as they walked down to the end of the driveway, where Reggie's car was. Her cries were breaking my heart as I watched her look around for us. I couldn't help but cry and hide my face in Colby's chest as he rubbed my back. "It's okay..it's okay." He whispered as he rested his cheek on my head.

I knew what we were doing was best for her, but hearing her cries and screams and not being able to go comfort her was absolute torture.

Once David was done, Reggie and Cassie took Mia to the car, then drove off with her. Colby tightened his grip on me as I tried to calm down, I really didn't like the idea of her not being with us after having those nightmares. "She's going to be okay." David said and rubbed my back. I nodded and leaned away from Colby to wipe my face.

"Okay, we are going to get started but things are going to get a little intense. Just stay together and with me." David said as we all filed inside. He shivered as soon as he was through the door, "yeah..you guys have something evil in here." He murmured and started setting up.

We all huddled together, none of us really knowing what to say.

Everyone was terrified.

"Okay so we are going to smudge the area with sage and palo santo. Then while I bless the house I will use holy water, who wants to do what?" He asked and held out a block of palo santo and a bundle of sage to us.

Colby grabbed the palo santo and Sam grabbed the sage, "great. Remember, no matter what happens, keep going and don't stop. Let's get started." David said as he lit up the cleansing materials.

I grabbed Colby's free hand, sandwiching it with both of mine. "It's gonna be okay baby girl." He said and gave it a squeeze, then turned and kissed my head before we started walking.

I heard sniffling next to me and looked over at Kat. She was crying and holding on to Sam's arm for dear life. I nodded at her and gave her a soft smile, trying to give her some comfort. She just smiled back gently as David started the cleanse.

Almost immediately the energy in the air shifted to hostile, as the front door slammed behind us. I closed my eyes for a second, trying to ground myself again, as the fear in my belly rose.

Colby tightened his grip on my hand as we walked through the house. Every time David would say the prayer in Latin, something would slam or fall off of the walls. We all tried to huddle together, as we silently walked through the halls. The only sounds being David's prayers and things slamming around.

The longer we did this though the more violent it got.

When we got to the kitchen a glass flew across the room and smashed right in front of Tara's face. She screamed and covered herself with her arms as the glass ricocheted off the wall and cut them up. "Shit." I hissed and grabbed a towel, running to her and pressing it to her arm. "What the fuck?!" She hissed and cried as Jake and I tried to stop the bleeding. "It's okay Tara, it's okay." I whispered as we caught up to the rest of them, who had to keep moving on. I stayed with Tara, pressing the towel to her skin, "you're okay..you're okay." Jake whispered to Tara, fear even filling his voice.

Once we finished cleansing the first floor we slowly made our way upstairs. It felt like the whole house was vibrating at this point as doors all around us slammed open.

Colby looked back at me with fear in his eyes as we started walking to the nursery. I smiled softly at him and looked down to check Tara's wounds. They weren't bleeding as bad now, "I'm gonna go back to Colby." I whispered to her and she nodded.

Colby reached for my hand and I went to grab it but before my hand reached his something else grabbed it, pulling me to the ground. I screamed as it dragged me into the nursery, then slammed the door. "SHIT." I yelled and looked around frantically as I wiggled the door handle, trying to get out.

It wouldn't budge.

"GET HER OUT OF THERE." I heard Colby roar from the other side of the door. "Cora!! are you okay!?" Kat yelled as I looked around, in the corner of the room was a huge shadow, the shape of it resembling the one from my nightmare.

I let out a blood curdling scream as I backed into the door to be as far from it as possible.
