"Daddy, I need you." Lizzie said knocking on Dr. Saltzman's door as she walked in

Lizzie decided that since Hope already thought that she rejected her and she and Josie seemed happy when she confessed about her crush, that she would let them be. She had her chance and she blew it with her stubbornness so now she had to let her twin have a shot. It probably wouldn't even take them long to get together anyways. Lizzie thought to herself

"They won't unload the trucks without your signature." Lizzie said handing him the clipboard to sign his name

"What? Tables, chairs, flowers, and a helium tank? Who ordered all of this?" he asked, Lizzie confused

"You did. A few months ago." Lizzie replied

"Why?" He asked still not remembering

Lizzie stared at him blankly waiting for him to realize, and once he finally did he gasped, the one and only Miss Mystic Falls competition.

Josie ran her fingers on the string lights decorated at the top of the staircase admiring it as Penelope walked in, "Hey, how about we blow this popsicle stand and go to my room for a little binge-watch and chill?" Penelope asked smiling as she lifted her eyebrows up suggestively

"You and I only make out when I'm high on happy pills." Josie joked humorlessly as she fixed the string lights that were slightly out of place

"I actually want to talk to you about the letter I wrote." Penelope said, as Josie stayed quiet

Penelope sighed, "Which I'm guessing you haven't read yet." she said disappointedly

"I've been dealing with the pageant, Penelope." Josie replied annoyed

Penelope rolled her eyes, "Yea, I can see that."

"See, this is me offering you a viable option out." Penelope added jokingly as Josie raised her eyebrows at her unamused

"This pageant is misogynistic and archaic. Stop enabling it." Penelope said annoyed

"I can't. I'm a contestant." Josie said smiling softly

"You know, I wish I was drinking something right now so I could do a spit take." Penelope said seriously

"You know my mom was Miss Mystic Falls? Lizzie's been dreaming of this day since she was little. Things have been rocky between us recently, so if me throwing a few events helps her win the title, I'm all for it." Josie said referring to the lies she told Lizzie about Hope, that Penelope had no idea about

"You agreed to help Lizzie win?" Penelope asked disapprovingly

"I'm supporting my sister. It's her crown and I'm fine with that." Josie said fed up walking away from Penelope

If only the twins knew what the other was giving up for each other.
