Hope took a deep breath in as she stood at the top of the stairs beside Rafael, she looked around at the crowd and locked eyes with Lizzie. They stared at each other in awe, despite being just friends, Hope was still in love with Lizzie and she knew that would take a long while to go away, if it ever does.

When Lizzie looked up at Hope she gasped softly to herself, she'd never seen anything as beautiful as this view right here. Their eyes met and suddenly they were alone in an invisible crowd. It was only the two of them, the rest of the world had melted away. It's true what they say 'your eyes speak all the words that your voice can't' because looking into each other's eyes with each passing second they found a thousand more reasons why they love each other. It was intense, they were in their own little world in which only the two of them existed, where there was pure bliss and no heartache and they wanted to stay there forever.

"Hope?" Rafael nudged her softly breaking her gaze away from Lizzie and the world they created

"Huh?" she responded

"You and Lizzie are undressing each other with your eyes, you know that right?" Rafael chuckled

"I- what? No! No we are most definitely not." Hope scoffed denying it

"Please Hope it's obvious. Do you want her to escort you? Because I'm cool with stepping aside and letting your whole romance thing blossom or.. whatever they say in movies." He laughed stepping back

"No really, we're just friends" Hope lied

"Fine, you can lie to me, but I'm not letting you lie to yourself." Rafael said winking as he began to walk away

"What? Raf where are you going?" Hope asked confused as she watched him walk around other contestants and down some random hall

Lizzie watched Rafael leave as she lifted a confused eyebrow at Hope, to which she shrugged her shoulders, Lizzie walked out the door and quickly went around to the top entrance to meet Hope.

"Hey, what happened to Rafael?" Lizzie asked confused

But Hope didn't hear her, "You're wearing the ring." Hope whispered looking at the ring around her neck

Lizzie forgot to tuck it into her dress after she changed. Crap, Lizzie thought to herself, "Hope, I'm-"

"Miss Kim Hughes.." Vera interrupted

"So you read the letter and decided to disregard it and keep the ring?" Hope scoffed quietly as they took a step down

"No. Well, yes. But I-" Lizzie stammered

"It's okay, Lizzie. I won't hold it against you, if you don't fe-"

Lizzie interrupted as they took a few more steps down, "No Hope, I barely read it last night."

"What?" Hope whispered to herself

"I'm sorry, Hope." Lizzie said sincerely

"Miss Hope Mikaelson, escorted by Miss Elizabeth Saltzman." Hope and Lizzie walked down the rest of the steps as the crowd cheered

They then took a place on the dance floor as the music began to play for the dance, "Why didn't you read it as soon as you saw it?" Hope asked confused

"Because I hated you remember? I hated you but I had some strange intense attraction to you that caused you to invade my mind like some super catchy and annoying song. I wanted you out of my head, so I fought it and did everything I could to repress it because of all the pain I thought you had put me through." Lizzie said

"I was an annoyingly catchy song invading your mind?" Hope asked with a small amused smile

"Yes! Well no, you're not annoying. Well sometimes but that's rarely. Or maybe it just seemed that way because I hated you. But then again it really wasn't my fault for that, I had misinformation. Not that, that's an excuse or anything because I was horrible to you, I admit. Although you were pretty mean to me too, and as I recall Josie didn't say she gave you any misinformation so did you even really have a good reason? Or maybe it was just because I was mean to you and you were just defending yourself." Lizzie rambled

"Breathe, Lizzie." Hope laughed

"Listen before we finish all the confessionals during our dance, I need to tell you something important. I already told Josie and you need to know too." Hope said getting serious and Lizzie nodded slowly confused at the sudden change in mood

"After we finish this dance you and Josie need to talk to your mom and dad about something called the merge, okay?" Hope said tensely

"Okay." Lizzie said gulping at Hope's seriousness

"Promise me?"

"I Promise."
