Penelope sat alone outside in the dark drinking a bottle of wine she stole from the kitchen, "What are we drinking to?" Mg asked appearing out of nowhere and sitting beside Penelope

"Hope Mikaelson being a slutty, manipulative, liar. Oh and my departure from this crappy ass school." Penelope said taking another long drink from the bottle

"Wow, what are you talking about?" Mg asked confused

"Caught my supposed 'bestie' locking lips with the love of my life, who doesn't know is the love of my life and who also despises my entire existence." Penelope said smiling as she took another long sip

"I thought Hope and Lizzie had a thing for each other, why the hell is she making out with Josie?" Mg asked still confused

"Because, she's a slut. Catch up Mg." Penelope rolled her eyes about to take another sip before Mg snatched it out of her hand.

"Look Peez, whether or not Josie and Hope kissed, you still love Josie and today is your last day here, and it's probably going to be the last time you ever see her. And right now Josie is all dressed up and waiting for you at the top of those steps, to escort her. Are you going to let her down? Are you going to let your feelings get in the way of ending things with Josie in a way that you'll be a hundred percent happy and satisfied with? Or are you going to end it with her calling you selfish, obnoxious, and evil?" Mg asked her seriously

"You're right." Penelope sighed rubbing her eyes tiredly

Josie had her hair up in a bun, as she wore a black and floral high low dress, Josie was standing at the top of the staircase looking around for Penelope, without even realizing it. After kissing Hope, Josie went to go find the letter but ended up running into Lizzie who ended up giving her a lecture for not having her hair done

"Woop, sorry" Penelope said accidentally bumping into one of the escorts before going to stand next to Josie

"You are like a lingering cough." Josie said looking straight ahead, since she didn't have a chance to read the letter she thought that Penelope told Hope some over exaggerated story on why she supposedly 'really' dumped her, to get Hope on her side.

"MG's M.I.A. And I'm pretty sure that contestants being each other's escorts is frowned upon so Hope's not an option. You're stuck with me." Penelope said reaching her arm out, Josie looked at Penelope confused as she wrapped her arm around

"Riddle me this. How does you losing everything help Hope win?" Penelope asked

"I'm the fall girl. I had to make it into contention to this point, the final event, so I could take a literal fall and take out Hope's closest competitor." Josie said like it was nothing as they walked down a few steps

"For real? Josie, you are so much better than that. I know Lizzie doesn't think that you can win, but I do." Penelope said truthfully

"Go down swinging." she added whispering encouragingly, smiling at Josie reassuringly

"You deserve to walk down those steps with your head held high, like your mom did." She finished

"Miss Josette Saltzman, escorted by Miss Penelope Park." Vera announced

Penelope and Josie smiled at each other as they walked down the steps while the crowd cheered. Josie then locked eyes with Lizzie, and decided that she needed to lose. She felt like she owed it to Lizzie and Hope for the secret she hid for all those years, and so Josie looked back at Penelope one last time who's smile fell, already knowing what she was about to do. Josie fell backwards and knocked down the contestant that was rude to Hope during rehearsal earlier. Causing the crowd to gasp and go silent.

Penelope looked down at Josie in disappointment, "What are you going to do when I'm not here to fight for you anymore?" Penelope asked, her voice filled with disbelief and disappointment

"What's that supposed to mean?" Josie asked confused as she began to stand up

"You want to know? Read the letter." Penelope said defeated as she walked away, Josie watched her go and sighed, maybe I should read the letter? Josie thought to herself as she quickly walked off to her room, to finally read it
