Shall I compare thee to
a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely
and more temperate.
Rough winds do shake
the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath
all too short a date. . .

"COME ON, you have to go!" Anne's loud voice echoed around the small bakery as the redhead excitedly gripped a soft, paper wrapped present to her chest. Lily just rolled her eyes as she looked at the redhead displeasingly, her legs stretched out and crossed as she leaned back into her chair. The theme of the discussion, and Anne's constant nagging, were the invitations that the girls had received a few days ago; a Christmas Eve party was being held at the Williams manor. And everyone has been invited. Some were more excited than others, which was evident as Lily refused to attend the party.

"You know parties aren't my forte." Lily smiled sarcastically as it was Anne's turn to roll her eyes. She let her arms fall to her sides as she still held on to the wrap in her hand. "But I already found a dress." Anne pouted as Lily turned her head away and towards Todd, who had been watching the discussion unfold for the past half an hour. The dark haired boy sheepishly smiled at the brunette before shrugging. Lily shot him a look before turning her head back to the redhead, who seemed fairly upset as she stomped over to sit on the chair on the opposite side of the bakery.

"Fine, then I'll go alone." Anne snapped, looking away from the annoyed brunette as she pretended to look at the pictures on the wall. Upon receiving no answer, Anne turned to Todd, "Maybe I'll meet someone there who will actually appreciate me! God knows that's a rarity around here." she raised her voice, the sentence clearly meant for Lily as the girl in question groaned, slapping her hands on her face. "Alright, angel eyes." Lily sighed, rubbing her temple as she shot the redhead a knowing look. "I'll go to that fucking party if it means that much for you." she exclaimed as the redhead cracked a smile.

"Really?" she beamed, "We're going to have so much fun!" she clapped her hands as she jumped up from her seat, running over to her girlfriend as she threw her hands around her neck, nearly throwing her out of her chair. "Jesus, Anne, are you trying to kill me?" Lily muttered as she wrapped her hands around the other's waist, the redhead sitting on her lap as Todd smiled at them from behind the counter. "Now all you have to do is find a dress." he pointed out, his eyes fixated on Lily as she raised an eyebrow. "Absolutely not." she defended, "I don't do dresses." she shook her head as Anne lifted hers from where it was placed on Lily's shoulder.

"But you have to!" Anne retorted, "It's a party, a dress is inevitable!" she waved her arms around as Lily sighed once more. "The only inevitable thing is death, angel eyes. Besides, the only time I wore a dress was when I played Juliet in a third grade English class. And I must say I did not enjoy a minute of it." Lily explained, her face scrunching as she remembered the thick fabric gluing to her skin on a scorching, summer day. Anne nodded slowly as she thought for a second. "Then maybe a skirt?" she suggested as Todd let out a laugh at Lily's annoyed face, finally coming out from behind the counter to sit next to the two, throwing the rag that he used to clean the tables with over his shoulder.
