I generally call Camp Half-blood my home because I always know I'll have family there.

But I also call the Manhattan apartment that Paul and my mom own home because I always seem to find my way back to it.

And cause my mom can cook.

Really well.

So going to my moms apartment for Christmas really gave me a feeling of home.
-------------------------------
"Elise honey can you help me with the pies?" My mom asked me.

"Sure thing mom just one second" I answered turning the Christmas music on.

I hurried over to my mom and helped her take the pies out of the oven.

"Careful they're hot" My mom said handing me the pies.

"Got it mom" I said taking the pies and setting them on hot pads.

"How's the ham doing?" I asked my mom.

She opened the oven and examined the meat.

"Perfect, it's doing perfect" she answered with a proud grin.

Percy came running into the kitchen and he popped a sugar cookie in his mouth.

"Don't spoil your dinner" mom said putting the plate of cookies away so Percy couldn't have any more.

"I doubt he could spoil his dinner. He eats all the freaking time" I said rolling my eyes at Percy.

He shrugged and took a bite out of a muffin.

"See you are like a garbage can!" I exclaimed.

Percy just shoveled the rest of the muffin into his mouth and gave me a nice crumby smile.

"So polite" I said sarcastically.

I turned around and went back to helping my mom with the food.

I heard the doorbell ring and Percy shouted.

"I got it!"

I leaned my head out of the kitchen as Percy opened the door to find Annabeth standing there with a bag.

He picked her up and spun her around.

Annabeth was laughing the entire time and I felt my heart ache a little as Percy set her down and gently kisses her lips.

I wish my romance was like my brothers.

Never thought I'd say that.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and my mom stepped beside me.

"Don't worry Elise, one day you'll find someone as important to you as Annabeth is to Percy" My mom said rubbing my back.

God I hope she's right.

I followed my mom back into the kitchen and got back to work on dinner.
------------------------------------
About 30 minutes later Paul, Percy, Annabeth, my mom, and I all sat down for dinner.

"Shall we pray?" My mother said raising her hands and everyone joined hands.

"Dear gods, thank you for having all of us here together all good and well. Thank you for keeping us warm and fed during this holiday season." My mother started.

"We hope your Olympus Christmas party is going well and that Mr. D hasn't gotten too drunk yet. Thank you for making it possible for my lovely girlfriend Annabeth to be here and btw Athena I'm treating her fine." Percy continued.

"Thank you for all the miracles you've performed this year and for all the wise decisions you've made" Annabeth added.

"Thank you for all this amazing food that Sally made for us" Paul said squeezing my moms hand.
