I woke up to the smell of coffee brewing.

As I fluttered my eyes open I took in my surroundings.

I was on the couch in Rachel's Penthouse.

Memories of last night flooded into my mind and I remembered why I was here.

I reached behind me and picked up my cell.

I turned it on and saw I had quite a lot of missed messages.

I decided to call Nico back since Annabeth and Percy probably talked to my mom.

The phone rang three times then Nico picked up.

"Hello?" he said groggily.

"Hey, did I wake you up?" I asked him worriedly.

"ELISE! WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU!" He shouted into the phone.

His yelling made me jump and hit the Dare's stain glass lamp shade.

"OW! the hell Nico, No I've missed your voice so much and I love you babe?" I said rubbing my head and sitting up.

"This isn't funny Elise, you had us all worried sick for hours!!! your mom tried to call you six times and you didn't pick up!" he said furious.

"I'm sorry I lost track of time at the cemetery on 2nd avenue" I apologized.

"Why were you at the cemetery?" Nico asked suspiciously.

"I saw someone I knew and we had a lovely discussion" I said standing up.

I walked over to the kitchen and found Rachel at the kitchen table with coffee in her hand.

"You had a discussion with someone for 10 hours!!!!" Nico demanded.

I froze.

Had it really been 10 hours.

"Wait, who was the person in the cemetery" Nico asked me with worry in his voice.

"Taylor Swift?" I suggested grabbing a coffee mug and pouring myself a cup.

"This isn't funny Elise! Who were you talking to for 10 goddamn hours?" Nico asked me again.

"I don't think he would want me telling you" I said slowly.

I wasn't quite sure how Nico would react if I told him I had been talking to his dad.

"Elise" Nico's voice darkened to a frightening tone.

"I was just having a conversation with an uncle of mine" I said casually.

Nico grew dead silent.

"You didn't. You need to stay away from him" he started with a scared voice.
