Chapter 27 (Severing Ties)

*Elise's POV*

I sat there waiting as the crowd of people rushed in asking question after question.

I sat there with my eyes open occasionally blinking but I didn't make any other movements in hopes that they would think I couldn't respond.

Didn't exactly work.

"Elise where the hell have you been we've been worried sick!" Annabeth said to me as she and Percy hurried to my side.

"Elise don't you ever do that again" Percy said as he stood by my bed to the left.

"You had me worried out of my head babe!!!" Leo said as he came to stand next to my bed on the right.

I heard other people talking and shouting and my head felt as though it was about to explode.

"GET OUT!" I screamed and the room fell silent.

"Elise sweetheart who are you talking too?" Leo asked moving closer to me.

"Don't you dare call me sweetheart" I hissed at him through my clenched teeth.

Leo looked a little taken a back and then he opened his mouth to speak but I cut him off.

"All of you get out of the room! Can't you see Nico is still in critical condition and all of the stress in the air can't be good for him!" I bullshitted.

Everyone except for Leo, Percy, and Annabeth started to leave.

I didn't look at any of them as I stared straight ahead.

"I said everyone" I repeated coldly.

I heard Percy begin to speak but I wouldn't let him.

"Get.Out" I spat out venomously.

They seemed wary but they didn't move from their spots.

"Now" I spat shooting them all a death glare.

Leo and Annabeth started to move but Percy wouldn't.

"Why?" Percy asked.

I didn't look at him instead I just stared straight ahead zoning everything out.

"Why the hell won't you talk to us?!?!" Percy asked furiously.

"Babe...." Annabeth started but Percy cut her off.

"Why are you acting like this? Why won't you talk to me?!?!" Percy asked exasperated.

I didn't answer him and I felt him grow more upset.

"We've never hidden anything from each other Elise!!!! Why now why after all the hell we went through to bring you back!!!!" He asked me his eyes starting to fill up with angry tears.

"Cause I was perfectly happy without you fucking up my life" I lied to them.

Percy looked at me his mouth opened in shock.

"I hope you get fucking murdered" he screamed at me moving towards the door.

I tried not to let my emotions show on my face but I couldn't help the tears well in my eyes.

"I hope you continue to enjoy being a second choice, a disappointment to Olympus" I yelled at him.

He turned around and glared daggers at me the hurt evident on his face.

"Jason will always be better than you. After all Zeus has always been better than Poseidon" I said to him with a smile.

He looked at me in disgust.
