Tokyo's POV.
I pick up my phone and dial Andrea's number immediately. In my mind, I was ecstatic that everything has been resolved. On the outside, I need the children to come back before I serve the information to them. Staying in the office didn't make sense anymore as I have to go to my husband's office and sort everything out. Greg on the other hand, understanding the whole situation helps me with all the work when I leave. I phone the detective when I pull up in my husband's company. His tone sounded confident.
"Good job here. You finally showed me that you are capable."
"Of course I am. Nothing passes me that I wouldn't notice." He laughs huskily.
"I see. Good work anyway. I'll send you something in five minutes. Nice doing business with you, sir."
"The pleasure is mine. Feel free to recommend to anyone that needs my service."
"No worries. Thank you and goodbye." I hang up before proceeding to the elevator leading to my husband's office.
"I got a call from Hera's school saying she was almost kidnapped. Any explanation here." He says immediately he sees me.
I clench my hands together. "It was Rose."
"Rose? How? I don't understand." His eyes widens.
"Yes, Rose. I'm sorry for not telling you about this earlier. . ."
He furrows his eyebrows. "Okay? I'm waiting."
"Oh, right. She came by my office sometime ago and threatened to take to do something drastic if I don't submit her children to her."
"And this involves our daughter, how?"
"Relax. I didn't want to release the children you both hand together to her. The way she stormed out of my office that day made me hire a detective. It involves our daughter because she was going to harm her age that leaves us to what just happened." I say in one breath, avoiding eye contact with him.
He slowly moves to my direction. "Why didn't you tell me? You decided to do everything on your own without informing me that is always by your side. What if you had gotten hurt or she had succeeded in abducting our daughter? What If she abducted her, asked for like a million dollars then after paying, she kills her? What if. . ."
"Hey! All these thoughts are incredible! Oh goodness. That's all in the past now. She can't harm anyone as far I am concerned. She has been taken to the police station."
He taps his desk with fingers. "You sure about that?"
I raise my pinky finger and he chuckles. "Yes, I'm sure about it. I only came here to take my daughter home. I want her to be by my side today."
"She is my daughter too. I want her around me today." He mentions and sits on his chair.
"No, I'm taking her home. Where is she anyway?" I ask him as I remove my heels and spread my feet on the cold floor.
"She's in my other office. I'm letting her stay with me for the rest of the day. You go back to Greg." He spits out.
"Are you for real right now?! Greg, my assistant, really?" I shout at the top of my voice. He really thinks I'm in sort of a relationship with my assistant. Men are hilarious.
"Hush, you're in an office not a market. You've forgotten that." He states to me. I roll my eyes in annoyance.
"Fine, your office. I'm sorry then. Seriously, you are crazy. Greg is my assistant and we can never have anything to do with each other. I think you should know that by now, after spending this number of years with you." I explained, looking at him in the eye.
"Are you trying to insult me because of what Rose did to me many years ago?" He lowers his eyelids. I could see the disappointment and anger setting into his eyes. He balls his hand Into a fist. In my mind, I didn't mean it that way, I guess he took things the wrong way.
"Listen, I love you so much and I can't bring myself to follow another man when I have someone that has showered me so much love and affection. You came Into my life and changed it for the better, plus, you are my perfect match and that should only matter. Greg remains my assistant, nothing more."
"I should believe all you've just said."
"Yes, with all your heart." I clutch my chest.
He pulls me to himself. "I love you honey. I really do." Moving closer to each other, our lips almost touched.
The voice of my daughter made the both of us split from our almost make-out session. She was accompanied by one of my husband's secretaries.
"My princess, I was so worried about you."
"Why Mommy? I was here the whole time. Daddy didn't tell you?"
"No, he didn't." I turn my face to him.
"Are you crying, mommy?" She touched my face. I didn't realize that the tears running down my cheeks.
"No baby. Mommy is just emotional."
"Emo... Emo..." She tries to pronounce the words and I laugh. Her father laughs too as he watches.
"Okay. Let's go home now. No school for you today." I carry her on my arms and made my way to the door.
"Wait, I'm coming with the both of you." He takes his Briefcase and keys.
