I hadn't seen Cash in two weeks and I hated it. I was in Paris doing a private show then I'd be in London doing one and spending another 2 weeks in the UK with my family. So, it would be a month away from Cash and I hated it. I tried to get her to come with me but she couldn't because of studio times and working on her music.
It was crazy to me how we'd gotten back to this place, happy and in love. It was an incredible feeling. Being with Cash always made me feel lighter and more free. I knew I needed to take a few steps back because I was already thinking of marriage and her moving back in with me. It just seemed silly, we both knew we wanted to be together forever so why delay it?
I needed to have a conversation with Cash and see where her head is at though. The last I wanted was to ruin things by jumping the gun.
Speaking of the love of my life.
"Hi," she said as soon as the FaceTime connected.
"Hello, love. How was your day?"
"It was good, got some good music down. Niall and I are working on a song together right now with Ashe and I am so excited about it," she beamed with a wide smile.
"That's great, what's it about?"
She proceeded to tell me about the song and how her story coincided with Ashe's and now they have a beautiful song.
I think that's something I really loved about Cash now, she didn't let her past hold her back. When everything with Jared first started happening she was terrified and didn't want to speak out, if it wasn't for me being affected I think she would have stayed silent. Now, she was happy sharing her story to help others. It was extremely brave of her and I loved her for it.
"Tell me about your day? London tomorrow, right?"
"Yep, tomorrow. It was good, just did a bit of walking around with Mitch, got a new guitar," I smiled glancing over at my newest baby.
"It's never good when you look at the guitar how you look at me," she teased making me laugh.
"Don't worry, I'll divide my time equally."
"Oh, babe, I have to go but two more weeks! I love you," she smiled happily.
"I love you."
Gosh, I was a complete fool for this girl.
The next day was just traveling. I did enjoy having my own house in London and not having to sleep in a hotel. Although it is unsettling when you open the door to your house you haven't been at in months and smell cooking from the kitchen.
"Who?" I started to ask walking slowly to the kitchen.
She was standing there wearing nothing but one of my t-shirts and cooking.
Would it be inappropriate to propose right now?
I snaked my hands around her waist and pulling her back into me. She gasped, not expecting me to be here yet and I placed kisses on her neck.
"You scared me," she said stirring in the pot.
"You scared me, I was a bit worried to smell food cooking. Thought I had an intruder. Turns out it's my girlfriend who's supposed to be in LA."
"I can't believe she didn't tell you she was surprising you," she shook her head in disapproval.
"Definitely going to have to teach her a lesson," I said lowly in her ear making her gasp when one of my hands slid from her waist to her ass gripping it firmly.
"Not until after dinner," she said breathlessly. "I've been perfecting this recipe for the past week and I'm excited for you to try it." Her smile was enough to put me on my best behaviour.
She'd been trying her grandmother's recipes lately and trying to perfect them all. I wasn't complaining, Mags always had the best food.
"How was your flight?" She asked lowering the heat on the stove and covering the pot with the lid. She turned in my arms to face me and kissed me lightly.
"It was good, short," I shrugged kissing her again. "I thought you had all kinds of studio time this week?"
She bit her lip blushing lightly. "I may have fibbed," she said fluttering her eyes. "I wanted to surprise you," she pouted making me laugh. "Besides, I got the next two weeks free so we can be in London together and go see your mum and sister in Manchester."
"I love you."
She smiled at my words kissing me again, "I love you," she hummed squeezing my sides where her hands are placed.
I excused myself to take a shower and let her finish cooking. All I could think about was marriage and wanting to spend the rest of my life with her.
I was going to bring it up in a subtle way. Probably after sex.
"Damn," she laughed trying to catch her breath as I rolled off of her after we both reached our highs. "You're never allowed to leave again," she joked cuddling up to me.
I smiled capturing her hand into my own and letting our fingers move around each other slowly.
"What do you see in your future?" I asked her staring at the ceiling.
"What do you mean? Like career wise? us?"
"Both, when you think of five years from now what do you imagine?"
"Hmm, We'll be 33, I'd like to be married way before then. Maybe trying for a child in 5 years? I'd like to have another two albums out by then or at least working on a second one. I'll probably take a break once I'm pregnant though and do more collaborations in song writing and producing."
The honesty in her words sent a chill down my spine and I smiled down at her. "Married way before then?" I asked. She blushed at my words and nodded. "How much before then?"
"Um," she blushed again looking away giving me a shrug. "I don't know, I mean you're it for me, you're my guy. I guess anytime," she shrugged making my heart skip a beat.
"So, I could propose right now and you'd be find with it?"
She frowned, "you better not, I don't want anything public either. Just us, but yes I'd be fine with it."
"I love you, sunflower."
"I love you." She smiled kissing me.
Now, I just needed that ring.
