"So he just took you home afterwards?" Devyn asked, confused after I told them the horror story of my date night. Everyone was over here listening and comforting me about my failed dating life, even Nova.
"That's so weird," Mia said, shaking her head.
"I bet it was the phone call. You said he was arguing right?" Jai offered but I shrugged my shoulders.
"All the phone call did was stop us from fucking. If whoever it was didn't call he would've got what he wanted and still said the same thing," I said putting the pieces together. Nova nodded her head agreeing with me. When she wasn't starting drama between Elias and I she was actually a good friend.
"And that 100% goes to show niggas ain't shit," she said and we all agreed. I didn't feel like talking to or about any other niggas but of course that's when Elias called me. I answered saying hello and quickly stepped outside the room.
"Told you I was gonna call today," he said and I heard his smile in his voice. This was who I needed to be putting my attention into not Derek. I wish that guy would've never bumped me into him at the party cuz I was better off sticking with Elias for the night.
"It's good to hear from you. Sorry my friends made things kind of weird yesterday," I said feeling bad for how he left.
"Don't trip. Who was that Derek guy anyways?" he asked and I rolled my eyes at his name.
"An asshole. Wanna come over and eat ice cream so I can tell you about it?" I asked, feeling hopeful.
"Yeah, I'm on my way," he responded without hesitation. I hung up and walked back in the room telling the girls about my phone call. Of course they all hyped it up. I didn't know if moving on to Elias so fast was a hoe move or not but I was feeling both of them and one didn't work out so why waste time. Derek was a disappointment for sure but that only proves he wasn't right for me anyways. The right person was on their way to eat ice cream and talk.
