The few weeks after everything settled down were nice especially since Derek was around. He was healing nicely according to the doctors and started working again. I tried to remind him not to let those people stress him out or push him too hard but he was hardheaded. Since I'd been taking care of him, going to school, and making time to hang with my friends I hadn't really been anywhere so he decided he'd take all of us out. Everything on him, drinks, food, all of it. He didnt really have friends but he invited some niggas that he worked with. Maybe I could try to set one up with one of my friends.
"Which dress?" I asked, holding up two short cocktail dresses.
"Sparkly," Devyn said, pointing to the one she liked better. I nodded, agreeing and put the other dress back.
"So who's coming with us tonight?" Mia asked, working on her makeup. I thought for a second trying to remember their names.
"Mario, Gelo, and Bash," I said once I remembered. They all turned to me and laughed.
"Mario and Gelo are coo but this niggas name is Bash? He sound ugly" Mia laughed.
"I think it's Sebastian, but what nigga wants to be called Sebastian?" I said and they nodded, still laughing.
"Nigga sounds English or some shit," Devyn said as I walked out to go shower. I took my time getting ready even though we were supposed to be leaving soon. I walked out of the bathroom looking for my charger and saw Derek sitting on my bed, looking bored of course.
"You don't even have your clothes on yet?" he asked and fell back into the bed dramatically. I looked down remembering I was in sweats and a bra. I shrugged and walked over laying on top of him, kissing his cheeks. "You move so slow I swear," Derek said, ignoring my kisses.
"She's like this everywhere we go!" Jai added. I rolled my eyes, not thinking I took that long.
"Come on man, go finish," he said, finally kissing me back. I got up happily and finished my hair and makeup. "Y'all wanna shot before we leave?" Derek asked as I slipped my dress on. I jumped up wanting one.
"I want two," I said grabbing the bottle from his hand. We all took two then headed to Derek's car. Gelo, Bash, and Mario were waiting in their car next to us.
"Wassup y'all," Derek said, dapping them up. "This my girl I was telling y'all about, Amora," he introduced me then pointed behind us. "Those are her homegirls, Jaiya, Mia, and Devyn," he said. I looked back and saw them eyeing the boys. He turned back around and pointed out who's who of his friends. When we got in the car Mia sat up and whispered in my ear, "I take back what I said about Bash. His name is just as cute as he is," I shook my head laughing. Bash was light skin with a whole bunch of tattoos. He had on a simple white tee and a snap back and if I didn't mess with D I would definitely think he was fine.
"Shut the hell up and sit back," I pushed her back into the seat. When we pulled up to the club Gelo walked over to our car.
"Y'all smoke?" he asked, holding out a few blunts. Gelo was light skinned with a lot of tattoos, too. He even had a few on his face so I assumed he'd been to jail once or twice.
