Mukti, Nandini and Cabir were sitting in the drawing room talking, when Manik arrived.

"Hey Bhai" Mukti and Cabir greeted Manik while Nandini ignored him.

"You came early Bhai? Your class was supposed to end at 4." Mukti asked.

"Yup, actually sir got an important call, so he had to go. He will continue the class tomorrow. Most of the lecture was already covered anyway." Manik said.

"Oh, Bhai you go, change and come. Mom is not at home. So, She said you to not skip lunch." Mukti said.

"Okay, I will just come." Manik said started to walk upstairs.

He came after 15 minutes and sat at the dining table.

"You guys didn't had lunch?. " Manik asked seeing them sitting for having lunch.

"No, we were waiting for you, inspite of being so hungry." Cabir said dramatically.

"Bhai you just now had eaten a lunch. It was me and nandu who are hungry." Mukti said.

"So what, it was half an hour ago. I am feeling very hungry now. Can we start?" Cabir asked being impatient.

All rolled there eyes and started the lunch with small talks in between.

In all this manik noticed, Nandini was speaking very less or rather speaking only when she was asked something. She was ignoring him. She is not even seeing towards him.

Manik was confused watching this because as far as he remember, neither he had any fight with her nor he had teased her.

"Mukti, Nandini did you get marks of any subject today." Manik asked them after completing lunch.

"Yes Bhai, we got marks of science. I got 25 out of 30." Mukti said smiling.

"And Nandini, you?" Manik asked nandini.

"Cabir bhai, I got 29 marks." Nandini said to Cabir ignoring manik , while three siblings got confused seeing her behaviour.

"Nandini, you can answer me directly. Why are you ignoring me? " Manik asked being confused soul.

"I don't want to annoy you more." Saying this Nandini ran upstairs.

"What happened to her? " Manik asked Cabir and Mukti.

"Don't know Bhai. Did you guys had any fight? " Mukti asked.

"No." Manik said thinking.

"Bhai you must go and talk to her." Cabir said to manik.

Manik nods and went upstairs to her room. He saw that room's door is open and no one is inside.

He thought where is she, then after thinking something, he went towards terrace.

He reached terrace and saw her sitting from the back.

He went towards her and sits beside her. She being lost in her thoughts didn't see him sitting.

"Nandini? " Manik said seeing her lost.

Nandini turns her face towards him listening her name being called.

Manik saw her, she is having tears in her eyes.

" What happened Nandu? Why are you crying? " Manik asked getting shocked seeing her crying.

He raised his hand to wipe her tears but she turned her face away.

"Nothing that concerns you. " Nandini said wiping her tears with back of her palm. Saying this she got up and was ready to go.

Manik holds her hand and make her sit.

"Are you telling me or not? " Manik asked getting little angry.

"No, I am not telling you anything. Why should it bother you, whether i cry or laugh. I am just a family friend from whom you got annoyed." Nandini said shocking him.

After thinking, it striked Manik's mind that she had listened his and Alisha's talk.

"You listened mine and Alisha's conversation?" It was more like a statement from Manik's mouth.

"Yes, and now I know what I am for you, I am just an annoying girl who happened to be your parents bestfriend's daughter." Nandini said.

Manik was trying to stop her but she is not stopping.

"But don't worry from now on I will not disturb you. And as soon as mom dad come I will return to my home." Nandini said but manik cut her in between.

"Shut up." Manik said angrily making her mouth shut.

"If your speech is over, Can I speak now?" Manik asked to which Nandini noded her head in yes.

"Whatever you listened in school was part of the plan to expose Alisha." Manik said to nandini.

"What plan?" Nandini asked confusedly.

"Did you asked Cabir or anyone how they exposed Alisha." Manik asked her.

"No." Said Nandini.

"Why? Don't you want to know." Manik asked her.

"I forget to ask. In morning I listened your conversation with Alisha and from that time i was upset. " Nandini said.

"You should know the full thing before jumping to conclusion." Manik said.

"What all you heard was planned, so that Alisha will think that I trusted her and it will be easy for us to expose Alisha." Said manik while Nandini get confused.

Manik then explained her everything how they asked Cabir to follow Alisha and record her video. Nandini listened everything carefully.

"Wow that was awesome plan Manik."
Nandini said.

"So rabbit now you know why I said those things." Manik said

Nandini noded her head in yes and hugged him thanking. Manik hugged her back keeping his hand on her shoulder.

"I thought that you believed her that I myself kept those chits with me for help." Nandini said breaking the hug

" Nandu, I know that you will be ready to get low marks in exams rather than using any unfair means." Manik asked.

"You said all those things just to make Alisha believe that means you don't hate me and I am not annoying to you." Nandini said happily.

"No I don't hate you. But about annoying, then that you are." Manik said.

"Manik." Nandini first get happy listening to manik but after understanding the full meaning she started to beat him.

Manik ran from there to downstairs and Nandini ran behind him.

"I am annoying? Then let me annoy you more." Nandini said running behind him.

"You will not be able to catch me little rabbit." Manik shouted running.

"You big giant monster. Just stop for once and then see." Nandini shouted running behind him.

Manik ran and entered his room and locked the door. Nandini huffed and goes back to her room.
