School

All the students and teachers assembled in the ground for opening ceremony of sports meet.

Chief guest of the event came and was welcomed by some students with showering flowers. One of the student came forward and put Tilak on his forehead as a warm gesture of welcome.

Once all of them gathered in the school ground, chief guest i.e. Mr S. N. Agarwal started to began his speech.

"Good morning all the students and teachers.
It's highly pleasurable to be the part of a opening ceremony of 20th annual sports meet. I would like to extend a warm welcome to all the participants and sports teachers who worked really hard to make this event successful. Sports is not only a physical activity but it is an integral part of life. It Develops a sense of friendliness among the children." Chief guest continued his speech for some time.

After this, chief guest, principal and vice principal lighted the Deepak to start the event.

"Students today we have volleyball and cricket matches. So all the participants now go to your respective destinations and other students can go according to there choices." Said physical education teacher.

Volleyball ground

Nandini and Mukti reached the volleyball ground where Navya and Aliya were already present with there team.

"Hi Navya and Aliya." Greeted Nandini and Mukti reaching near them and they greeted them back.

"When is your match starting? " Asked Mukti.

"In some 15 minutes." Answered Aliya.

"All the participants come in the playground. Match is going to start in some time." Announced the coach.

Listening announcement all started to go towards playground.

"Best of luck guys. Do your best" wished Nandini.

"All the best guys." Wished Mukti.

Navya and Aliya went towards the playground with there teammates.

After sometime match started. Nandini and Mukti were watching the match with full concentration and hooting in between for there team.

Cricket ground

On the other side, Cricket Match has also started. Two schools were participating in cricket. Cabir and Dhruv with there team opted for bowling first on winning the toss.

Both the teams were playing well. The match consists of 20 overs. Manik and abhi were sitting in stadium watching the match with much concentration.

After 2 hours the first inning got completed and participants went away from ground to have break for some time.

Volleyball ground

On the other hand, in volleyball match four schools were participating, therefore two matches were going on simultaneously. When first half got completed, Navya and Aliya were happy as there team won the game. They will have another match with winning team from other match, after an hour so all the participants exited the ground for some rest.

Nandini and Mukti hugged them congratulating. After talking for sometime they went towards cricket ground.

While Manik and abhi come towards Navya and Aliya.

"How's your match going on? " Asked Manik.

"It's going good. We won first match. Now we will have final match." Said Aliya. Then Aliya and Navya started to tell them about their match that how they defeated them.

Cricket ground

Nandini and Mukti reached there and started enjoying the match.

After 2 hour, Manik, Abhi, Navya and Aliya came in cricket ground and after spotting Nandini and Mukti in the middle went towards them.

Nandini saw them coming and waved her hand to them.

"What was the result of your match?" Asked nandini from Navya and Aliya.

"We lost" they said dejectedly.

Nandini and Mukti see each other and hugged both Navya and Aliya together.

"Don't be sad dude. You gave it your best." Said Mukti.

"And anyways you guys are first runner up. So we want party." Said Nandini.

With there talks, Nandini and Mukti became successful in lightning there mood. They all started to watch the match. They were standing together in a row with Nandini then beside her Mukti, Navya , Aliya then abhi and at last Manik.

All were engrossed in Match because now Cabir and Dhruv are at pitch with Dhruv batting. Manik listen some sound and saw here and there. He then spotted some boys of class 10th standing beside Nandini and trying to come close to her. They were in group, having some conversation among themselves and laughing.

Manik went towards Nandini and stand beside her making the boys shift from there place. Nobody notices Manik changing his place being involved in match.

Manik glared at the boys. They got scared and moved away from there.

"When did you came here? You were at the other time some time ago. " Asked Nandini seeing him beside her.

"Just now. One of my friend called me so just came to talk." Said Manik.

"Which friend and where is he now? " Asked Nandini looking here and there.

"You don't know him. He is gone now. He had some work." Said Manik.

"Ohk" Nandini said and again gave her attention to match.

"Oh shit." They all said when they saw Dhruv hit the ball but one fielder caught it before it touched to ground.

Dhruv became out and exited the ground sadly.

Now the situation became very tensed because there 9 players are already out. They have only two balls left and need to make 4 runs in order to win.

One other batsman i.e. shreyansh came in ground. Bowler bowls the ball and shreyansh hit the ball with his bat. He and Cabir both ran to take runs but they were were able to take only one run.

They need 3 runs in one ball. Nandini was bitting her nails being tensed.

Bowler balls the last ball and Cabir hit it with full force that it went very far. Umpire signs that it's six.

All became very happy seeing the win. Nandini whistled watching this Manik shakes his head at her craziness. They all hugged and went towards Cabir and Dhruv and congratulate them.
