Malhotra Mansion

All except Raj Malhotra are sitting in the drawing room having tea and snacks with some chit chatting. After some time Raj entered the house.

They all greeted him and he replied back. Neyonika went to kitchen and come with glass of water for Raj.

"Raj you go get freshen up, meanwhile I will prepare tea for you" Neyonika said to Raj. Raj nods his head and stands up and went towards his room.

After fifteen minutes he came back and sit with all of them. He was sipping his tea when his mobile started ringing.

"I will just come" Raj said receiving the call.

After sometime he come in hall and goes towards Nandini.

"Nandini, what was that Alisha fiasco? You didn't told me anything." Raj asked making Nandini realize that he got to know about whole thing.

"What are you asking Raj? " Asked Neyonika not understanding anything.

"That Nandini will tell" said Raj looking towards Nandini.

"Dad actually,.." Nandini started and told Raj everything. Raj and Neyonika looked shocked listening.

"So much happened and you didn't think it necessary to tell us" Raj said disappointed.

"I was going to tell you today." Nandini said.

"And why didn't you told earlier only nandu. I didn't expected this from you. And Manik, cabir, Mukti you? Even you guys didn't told us anything." Said Raj.

"Dad we thought you will get tensed." Manik said.

"No Manik it's wrong. We are your parents. You shouldn't think about all these while telling us. Don't we have the right to know? Or you have grown so much that you didn't find its necessary to tell us anything." Neyonika said.

"Mom it's not like that. It's just that we thought that you will get worried unnecessarily. But now we realized our mistake. It will not happen again. Sorry." Manik said to Raj and Neyonika.

"Sorry mom and dad. We will not hide anything from you from now on." Nandini apologies while holding her ears. Mukti and Cabir also apologized.

"It's ok. But don't repeat this mistake again." Said raj.

"But dad how do you get to know?" Asked Mukti.

"If you are forgetting, then let me remind you that principal of your school is a great friend of mine. And the call I received a while ago was his only." Raj said to them. They talked for some time more.

After dinner

Nandini was going towards terrace and she saw that someone was already sitting there. She walked nearer and find it was manik.

She went and sat beside him.

"Hi Manik. You here? " Said Nandini.

Listening Nandini's voice he turned his head and see Nandini.

"Hi, just gazing the sky." Said Manik looking towards sky.

"Thank you Manik. You really helped me a lot. I can't even think what would have happened if you hadn't helped me. Thank you for trusting me." Said Nandini.

"You don't need to thank me Nandini. And about trusting, cheating needs lots of courage and I had a trust that you are not that courageous." Manik said teasing Nandini.

"I don't even need that courage ok. " Said Nandini angrily.

"Why so angry? Calm down." Said Manik.

"You are making fun of me." Nandini said making pout.

"Ok I will not tease you but on a serious note, nandu you should always be aware of what is going around you. Someone had put cheats in your pocket and you didn't even get to know. This time it was in school but next year you will be giving board exams where your own teachers will not be present to support you. So you should be always careful." Manik said making Nandini understand.

"Yes, you are right. I will be careful from next time." Nandini said understanding his point.

They talked for some more time. After that Nandini fell in sleep keeping her head on his shoulder.

Manik was gazing the sky, after sometime he also started feeling sleepy.

He picked Nandini in his arms and goes towards her room. He entered the room and made her sleep on bed. He took the duvet and tucked her in it. She snuggled in it and slept with smile on her lips. Manik after dropping her goes towards his room and slept being tired.

Next day
School
Morning assembly

"Good morning students. As you all know sports meet is going to start soon. And this year it is going to be held in our school. I want all the student to get prepared for it. And there is a meeting regarding it in which monitors of all the classes, head boy, head girl and the teachers are required to be present." Said principal.

Listening about sports meet all the students get excited and started to think in which sports they are going to take part.

Meeting

All the monitors, Manik , Nandini and teachers who are arranging the sports meet are present in the room.

"Students in the class 6th to 8th have a sports meet in a ground 1 and 2 while class 9th to 12th are going to have in remaining 4 grounds. Manik and Nandini you have to see all the preparations in the sports meets." Said Mr Mishra who is the incharge of sports meet. Manik and Nandini noded there head.

"All the monitors will make list of the interested students of there respective classes and mention the name of sports also and then submit it to Manik and Nandini. Then next week selection process will start. There is going to be 10 schools in total. So prepare well for it." Said Mr Mishra.

After some more discussion meeting gets finished .

Break time
Canteen

"Are you all taking part in sports meet? " Asked abhi.

"Yes" said all.

"Me and Aliya are taking part in volleyball. Let's see if we will get selected." Said Navya.

"Dhruv you? " Asked abhi.

"I am taking part in cricket. " Answered Dhruv.

"Manik you are going to play basketball or football? "Asked Dhruv.

"Both. As both of them are on different days. So I can take part in both. " Answered manik.

"Nandini, Mukti and Cabir what about you guys? " Asked Aliya.

"Cricket" answered cabir.

"I will play badminton as it's my favourite." Said Mukti excitedly.

"I will play basketball and tennis." Said Nandini.
