After reaching home Nandini entered the house running and hugged neyo.

"Neyo mom, you know what? Sports meet is coming soon and I am so excited about it." Nandini said enthusiastically.

"Calm down princess. Don't run always. What if you would have fall down." Neyonika said lovingly while caressing her face.

"Mom, whom are you telling all this. She is a monkey always jumping around." Manik said entering the house.

"Don't call me monkey." Nandini said angrily.

"Oh ya you are right. Looking at your height I must call you a mice. Monkey is taller as compared to mouse." Manik said acting as if he is thinking.

"Really? If I am mouse than you are giraffe." Nandini retorted.

"And you..." Manik was going to say something but Neyonika stopped them in between.

"Stop it you both. Now it's enough of your fighting. Go to your room, freshen up and come for lunch. In the mean time I will reheat the food." Neyonika said stopping there fight.

They both stopped the fight listening Neyonika and went towards there rooms.

After some time they all started to have lunch.

"Now tell me princess what are you saying about sports meet." Neyonika asked Nandini as they completed their lunch.

"Mom, after two weeks sports meet is coming and I am very excited about it because I am going to take part in it." Nandini said happily.

"You are talking as if you are first time going to take part in sports meet." Said Cabir.

"But till 8th we were only allowed to take part in races like spoon lemon, three legs etc. But this year I am going to take part in basketball and Tennis. That's why I am excited." Nandini said to Cabir.

"Correction, first you have to pass the selection process only then you will be allowed to take part. And one more thing, I am the one who is going to select students in basketball, as coach has given me this responsibility. So miss murty, first you have to show me that you are good enough then only you can take part." Said Manik with smirk on his face.

"For your kind information, I am very good at basketball. I will be selected for sure." Said Nandini with confidence.

"Let's see" said Manik.

Next day
School

Today there is so much hustle bustle in school. There are two reasons behind this one is happiness of completion of exams and second ofcourse is sports meet.

Today all the monitors of classes 6th to 12th are submitting the list of students who are interested in sports meet.

Mr Mishra called Manik and Nandini regarding some new information related to sports meet.

Manik and Nandini reached the cstaff room.

"Good morning sir." Greeted Manik and Nandini.

"Good morning. Come sit down" He greeted them back and gestured them to sit.

"Did you received the students list from all the classes. " Asked Mr Mishra.

"Almost sir except two classes. They said that they are going to submit it by the end of the day." Said Manik.

" Ok. But there is some changes in the schedule." Said Mr Mishra forwarding the list.

Day 1 :

Ground 3 and 4 : volleyball
Ground 5 and 6 : cricket

Day 2 :

Ground 3 and 4 : badminton
Ground 5 and 6 : football

Day 3 :

Ground 3 and 4 : basketball
Ground 5 and 6 : tennis

"Give this list to class 9th to 12th and tell them to make changes accordingly." Said Mr Mishra.

Canteen
Break time

"Nandu, why are you so sad? What happened? " Asked Aliya seeing Nandini sad.

"Today Mr Mishra called us and told that there were some changes in schedule of sports meet. Earlier tennis and basketball matches were on the different days but now they are on the same day so I can't take part in both. I really wanted to play both of them." Said Nandini sadly.

"Don't be sad. You can take part in one of the game so give your best in it." Said Dhruv and Nandini noded her head.

"What did you thought, in which game will you participate?"asked Mukti.

"I love both of them but basketball a little more. So thinking to take part in that." Said Nandini.

"Now don't be sad and you need to do a lot of practice to get selected." Said Navya.

"Yes you are right. I do need to do a lot of practice." Said Nandini.

Next few days went practicing. All of them wanted to get selected for there respective sports. So they all are preparing for it.

Nandini used to practice for basketball in school and at home also. But in this she didn't not forget her studies also. She being a studios girl can never compromise with her study.

She was little sad also because she can't take part in tennis but she thought that she will participate in tennis next year.

Well for Nandini, she is first time participating in the basketball so she needs a lot of practice but for Manik he is already a captain of basketball and football team of school, so he is already very good in it. And being a student of class 12th he is devoting most of his time in studying as this is the crucial time in a student's life.

After a week,
School

This week is the week in which students have to go through selection process. Students are excited as well as nervous about it.

"Navya, Aliya what happened to your selection. Did you guys get selected? " Asked Nandini seeing them coming out  from the ground where selection is going on for volleyball.

"Yes, we both got selected and I am very excited I am going to play first time in school's volleyball team." Said Navya hugging Nandini.

They all congratulated them and waited for Cabir and Dhruv as they are also having the trials of cricket.

Soon they both come with the happy faces indicating that they are selected.

All of them get happy and congratulated them.
