"Nandini do you like someone? " Asked Manik. Nandini became shocked listening this. "How he come to know?" thought Nandini.

"What are you saying Manik? I didn't understand anything." said Nandini.

" Don't try to act innocent Nandini. Cabir had told me everything." Said Manik.

"He told you everything? like everything? " Asked Nandini.

"Yes" said Manik.

"Traitor" murmured Nandini.

"Listen Nandini you are very small and this is not your age to get involve in all these. This is your age to concentrate on your studies not to fall in love." Said Manik calmly and Nandini remained silent.

"Ok let's sit and talk." Said Manik and made her sit down on chair.

"Now listen to me calmly. Did you noticed your grades are falling from some days. You were always a topper of your class and now you are getting pass at point. And the way you are going nowadays it wouldn't be a shock if you get fail." Said Manik.

"But Manik I really love...." Said Nandini but Manik cut her in between.

"Can't you understand a simple thing. What love love ?  I am trying to make you understand but no you have to be stubborn. Can't you for once listen to what I am saying. You will spoil your life with all this." Shouted Manik and stood up listening to which tears came in her eyes. She cried making manik close his eyes. He calmed himself seeing her crying.

"Listen Nandini..." said Manik holding her shoulders to which she jerked his hands away.

" No I will not listen. You shouted at me. You always shouts on me. You just know how to impose your decisions on me." said Nandini crying more.

"Nandini listen..." Manik again try to speak but she didn't let him. He tried to hold her but she again jerked his hand away which raised his anger.

"Nandini don't test my patience. I am trying to talk nicely but you can't listen to me even for once." He said sternly.

"Now listen to me carefully and don't interrupt in between." Said Manik.

He sat on his knees in front of her and wiped her tears.

" Nandini you are very small and innocent. This is just a childhood infatuation which will fade away with time. You just need to control your emotions." Said Manik and Nandini became angry listening his words. "How can can he just insult her love naming it as a mere infatuation." thought Nandini.

"Enough Manik. I am listening to you doesn't mean you will say anything. I respect you but it doesn't mean you can insult my feelings." Said Nandini.

"Stop this rants of your feelings. This is just a mere infatuation, a childhood crush and nothing else." Said Manik to which Nandini get angry.

" Shut up Manik. My love is not a mere infatuation, it is not just a childhood crush.  My love for you is not infatuation. I love you, but that doesn't mean you can say anything. Its okay if you can't reciprocate but please don't insult it." Said Nandini listening which Manik became shocked.

"What did you said. You love me? " Asked Manik.

"Yes I love you and this is not a mere infatuation or a childhood crush. I love you Manik Malhotra." Shouted Nandini and ran away from there crying.

Manik being shocked sat there and got lost in his thoughts about what Nandini said.

Nandini ran to her room and sat there crying. Cabir saw her running and went behind her. He entered the room and saw her crying very badly.

"Nandu why are you crying? What happened. " Asked Cabir sitting in front of her.

Nandini hugged him and started crying more bitterly.

" Bhai he don't love me. My love is just a infatuation for him? " Said Nandini while crying.

"What? Bhai got to know that you love him?" Asked Cabir.

" You only told him Bhai." Said Nandini.

" No, I just told him that you like someone" said Cabir and told her the whole conversation with Manik.

"What but he said that you told him everything?" Said Nandini.

" Of course he will say because according to him that was only thing I knew. But what did you tell him." Said Cabir.

Nandini told him the whole conversation.

" He doesn't know that you love him and you yourself told him. Did you even realised that you had indirectly proposed him sometime back?" said Cabir.

"He said that you told him everything so I thought that he knew that I love him and moreover he called my love as childhood crush that's why I got angry and said everything. I didn't knew that he don't know." Said Nandini.

"How will I face him tomorrow after what I have done today." Continued Nandini getting nervous.

" Don't worry, behave as if nothing happened. Tell me did Bhai said anything when you told him about your love?" Said Cabir.

"No I ran away from there." Said Nandini.

" Don't worry we will think about it later. But nandu Bhai was right on his place about you ignoring your studies. You must not ignore it. You are taking it lightly for now but in future when you will realise that what mistake you have done, you will regret it badly. And you will regret it more when you knew that were capable but still didn't achieved the things you deserved. " Said Cabir.

"Bhai I know you are right I have been ignoring studies but now I understood. You know when I was small I was never that interested in studies and all. Becoming topper and scoring good marks were never my interest instead I used to avoid them as much as I do. But it's for manik that I started studying." Said Nandini.

" How is this related to bhai? " Asked Cabir being shocked about revelation.

" Bhai you remember when I was in 5th standard, that time I always avoided studies. My grades was getting worst day by day. And after that during first term exam I got failed in one of the exam. At that time, manik shouted at me very badly and I being scared of his anger cried very much. Before that, every time whenever I used to cry manik was the one who always pampers me and consoles me but that time even after shouting on me he didn't came. He even detached himself from me after that incident. He started to ignore me." Said Nandini.

"Then it came to my mind that may be because I am bad at studying he hates me. He was always the topper and studious guy. So I thought if I will study hard then may be he will be life before. Then I started studying. My grades started getting good. After some time I became topper also. But still he ignored me. He was changed till then. And we started to irritate each other. We got changed, Our equation got changed and our relation got changed. Now I think he hates me." Said Nandini.

"He can never hate you Nandini, he can never. The one thing I am most sure about is he can never hate you. He cares for you. He just don't show it." Said Cabir.

"Now sleep it's late. We will talk Tomorrow." Said Cabir and exited the room.
