A few days later

I just gotta off work and I seen a message from Chrissy to come over. I went as soon as I got off because I haven't seen or heard from her since all of us was at the house that night. She didn't know about what happened to Remy and I wasn't going to tell her either.

"Why do you have suitcases packed?" I asked once I walked into the living room.

"I need to tell you something, and please don't try and talk me out of it because I don't have a choice"

"What's going on Chrissy?" I sat down on the couch beside her.

"Remember when I told you that my parents were killed by the mafia?". I nodded. It's not like every day your best friend is going to tell you that her family was killed by the mafia. How could I forget?

"I didn't tell you that I was there and they killed them in front of me. They were supposed to kill me too Nae. However, I begged them not to and that I would do anything in return."

"Chrissy wtf did you agree to do?"

"I agreed to be the mafia's boss personal servant for a year... now is the time I go... I leave any minute"

"Why are you just now telling me this Chrissy. You're pregnant. How is this going to work?"

"I was scared he was going to come after you. I only told you and ONLY you because if I don't come back in a year I need you to come looking for me."

"Chrissy I don't think—"

"If I don't do it. He's going to kill me Nae". I felt tears forming in my eyes. How am I supposed to take hearing that my best friend is about to become a slave for a mafia boss. My PREGNANT best friend.

"Nae please don't cry... I'm going to try my hardest to work out a way to stay in contact. I promise" , As she finished her sentence her phone rang, she receive the text that the car was waiting for her. I grabbed Chrissy and pulled her into a hug, at this point I couldn't stop the tears that was coming: Chrissy was now crying too.

"I'm gone be okay Nae, I promise."

"Please please be safe and smart Chrissy"

"I will. And continue to be happy baby... let him love you"

"I will ... I love you Chris"

"I love you too Nae, I gotta go". Chrissy pulled away from me and grabbed her suitcases and headed towards the door. She turned and looked at me one last time and walked out the door. My best friend was leaving me and neither one of us was sure if she would ever return. I wiped my eyes and walked out. Chrissy gave me a key to her place so I was able to lock the door. I cried my entire way to Jordan's apartments.

"Glad you didn't change your mind" Viktor said once I got in the car. Viktor was the mafia boss, who now has full control over my life for the next year.

"Before we get to wherever we're going, you have to promise me a few things first or you can just kill me right now"

"I'm listening"

"I have my baby in 8months , once my baby is born you have to let my baby stay with my best friend until my contract is up."
