Five months later

I laid on the OBGYN's table while she squirted the cold gel like substance on my stomach. Today was the day that we find out what we're having. Unfortunately Jordan couldn't make it because he had to work. He decided to get him a job at FedEx to have a little extra income for the baby. Even though we didn't need it, Jordan had to be Jordan.

"We're not struggling for nothing and I mean that"

The last five months have been amazing. Jordan is still the perfect boyfriend, though we have our differences I don't regret allowing him into my life. I hear from Chrissy every week. She's six months pregnant and she's have a little boy. She's actually enjoying her time with Viktor, I'm convinced she doesn't even want to come back home. I still talk to Michael often, he's been really supporting throughout my pregnancy. I think his more excited about the baby compared to me and Jordan. As for my mom, every time I try to talk her about Michael she's hits me with an excuse or shes blows off the conversation. At this point I just stopped trying.

"There is your babygirl, Ms. Givens". I focused my eyes on the black and white scene and smiled. A little girl, Im having a little me. Tears started to form in my eyes while the moment was bittersweet. Too bad Jordan couldn't be here with me to experience it but I had a surprise for him when he's get off.
After printing off the pictures, and cleaning my stomach I made my way to the front desk. I had to set up my next appointment and then I would be heading home. Jordan would be getting off in a little bit and I needed to make sure everything was in order.

Man a nigga is tired. FedEx will break you down you heard me. My manager was a bitch and would not give me the day off so I couldnt go to Nae's appointment. She said she was okay but I know it was a lie. She found out the gender of the baby and I couldn't be there, however she told me that she would tell me when I got off. And I promise you if I could put this BMW in the sky and fly this bitch , I WOULD. I couldn't be more excited to get home. I pulled into a parking spot next to Nae's car outside my apartment complex and made my way to the front door. I stopped after I noticed a note on the door in Nae's handwriting.

Taking the note off the door, a smile plastered across my face. Of course she do something like that. I opened the door and walked inside. Closing the door behind me there was another note stuck to the back.

What the hell is she trying to do? I took the note and walked to my bedroom to find look in my shoes. After looking a a few pairs I can across a box tucked into one of my shoes. After getting the box out and opening it, my mouth form a "o" shaped and then I smiled. She brought me a brand new Rolex. Okay then bae, show out. Tapped to the bottom of the box there was another note.

I made myself a personal bar in my living room so I made my way there. There was a brand next bottle Hennessy with a sticky note to it. She's trying to be funny because the only liquor I drink is Hennessy but I haven't drunk any lately because I've been working all the time to be honest. I opened the bottle and took a sip before reading the note.

I walked into the kitchen to a gift bag sitting in the middle of the table with another note beside it. I looked in the gift back first and pulled out a brand new grey Nike jumpsuit. I fucked up my last one because I wore the sweatpants to work and tore a hole. I honestly didn't think she was even listening to me that day when I told her about it. This is why she's my baby for real. After putting the sweatsuit back in the bag, I picked up the note.

I made my way to the deck but there was another note stuck to the glass door. I was anxious to see my baby and find out what my child is and Nae is just giving me the run around. I loved it though.

I couldn't held but smile as I bust through the doors and what I saw was absolutely beautiful. There stood Nae looking so beautiful while she held another gift bag but it was small. She handed it too with a big ole smile on her face. Taking the bag out her hand, I opened it. I pulled out her ultrasound pictures, which almost made me tears up not even going to lie.

It's a girl.

I read the words over and over that was on of the ultrasound pictures. I'm having a babygirl. I looked at Nae who was smiling at me. I grabbed her and pulled her into a kiss. She wrapped her arms around my neck while I wrapped my arms around her waist.

"I love you". I said in between kisses.

"I love you too". She whispered as she pulled herself into my lips again. After a few minutes, she pulled away and stepped to the side. I didn't even realize she had dinner set up outside on the deck. I chuckled and looked down before looked back up at her.

"You really showing out today hmm?"

"You've been working so hard and I know you really wanted to be there today. Sooooo I decided to make it special... you're always spoiling me so why not do it for you baby". She motioned me for to come sit down and I did while she followed behind me.

"You make a nigga feel like a king". I chuckled while my eyes looked over the meal in front of me. BBQ ribs , baked Mac and cheese, greens, and corn bread. I was really about to smack this food. I look over at Lanae was was already shoving a fork full of Mac and cheese in her mouth. I laughed at the view that was in front of me.

"Thank you ma". I stared at the beautiful mother of my child while just smiling. She looked at me and finished chewing before she spoke.

"You deserve it daddy". She smiled at me, I couldn't help but stare at her. Her brown eyes were glistening and her skin was glowing. I guess it's what people call a pregnancy glow. She was so fucking beautiful and the fact that she put all of this together for me just made me want to love her even more. Love her more than what I already do. Just wait till I get her in that bed tonight.

"Now eat your food before it gets cold and stop staring at my fat ass" she spoke seriously but I knew she was joking. However, taking into consideration that I hadn't even touch my food, I started to eat. We enjoyed the meal and just talked about whatever. I honestly loved that Lanae could always hold a good conversation, regardless of what it was about.
