The morning had rolled around at an excruciatingly slow pace.
Jaemin had already had one lecture, and was sitting int he food hall for some lunch. Renjun had mentioned that he wouldn't make it due to an assignment he needed to complete and hand in. And so the blonde sat at the table. Alone.
He didn't have much of an appetite since the night before rung clearly in his mind. Why was Jeno still with Jinsoo?
The whole situation had given him one too many headaches over the recent months than deemed healthy.
His gaze snapped up when a tray was slammed down in front of him harshly, no consideration for the dazed boy.
"Na," the taller mumbled, glancing around the packed room as the paranoia hit him.
If Jinsoo or Donghyuck saw him here, talking to Na Jaemin, they would know that something was up.
"Jisung," Jaemin quietly replied, pushing his food away and leaning forward on his hand that was supporting his cheek. "Just the person I need to talk to."
The pinkette looked around nervously again, brows knitted together, reflecting his concern.
"Look, I need to make this quick and painless, Jaemin," he started, leaning in too. He slipped his hand out, offering Jaemin a piece of paper. "I'll go to your apartment tonight, okay?"
Without receiving an answer, the younger stood up, strolling over to his usual table. Chenle, the exchange student, Donghyuck and Mark were the only ones there.
"Weird." Jaemin pushed the thought away, eyeing the crumpled corner of a page.
Jeno's number

The blonde felt his lip curl to a smile. He had Lee Jeno's number.
It felt like an achievement to hold the paper. It felt like a power.
His grin suddenly fell when the said boy walked into the canteen area, two steps behind Jinsoo who held a firm grip on Jeno's wrist.
"What the hell?" The blonde mumbled to himself, finding the curiosity mutating to anger since finding out more about the pair.
He watched from afar, observing the smaller details, such as the killer grip that Jinsoo bruised into Jeno's thigh once they sat down.
Jaemin didn't even miss the cringe that graced the victim's features with each movement.
The pity that used to eat the boy alive had transformed to the undying hatred for a certain ravenette.
Jeno's eyes briefly met with Jaemin's, a silent plead emitting from from his deep and emotional orbs.
It was a plead that only Jaemin saw, and that the fellow classmates missed due to their lack of knowledge on the boy.
Jisung, who had watched the exchange, found himself smirking at the instant understanding that Jaemin had.
He himself had taken two years to fully work up to accusing, but Jaemin had instantaneously known that there was something wrong, and that thought made Jisung's stomach settle.
He finally had another person on his side. Maybe, just maybe, they could expose this toxic relationship before it all got too far out of hand.
Mark, on the other hand, sat with his cheek resting in his hand. His gaze was fixed on Donghyuck who sat next to Jinsoo - who had Jeno to his right.
His cheeks would flush red with each glance that was shared. The hopelessly-in-love teen hadn't noticed the scowl that rested on his crush's face.
Mark licked his lips, eyeing Jinsoo carefully before sending the other a happy smile. Jinsoo was his inspiration after all, and he couldn't be any happier for Jeno.
"Will you stop staring?" Donghyuck rudely muttered, flicking his eyes to meet Mark's expectant gaze. "It's creepy."
Mark looked down at his interlaced hands. He wasn't that creepy, right?
"Oh yeah. Sure thing."
He felt a small comforting hand rub circles on his back. He lifted his gaze from the wooden table, and met eyes with Jisung, who was seated his left.
The older looked back down, ignoring the pitiful look that he was sent from both the pinkette and Jeno.
Jisung stopped rubbing the circles in the elder boy's back, before angrily eyeing Donghyuck who held an expression void of remorse.
"Fuck you," he lowly muttered, a killer glint shining in his eyes as he looked from Donghyuck to Jinsoo.
The ravenette wore what Jisung would describe as an amused look.
Why was he getting the evils? He had figured it out in that moment, when he looked between Jisung and Jaemin, who still sat alone.
They had been the intruders, and they had heard something that they shouldn't have heard.
Jinsoo's possessive side took over, and he couldn't help but tighten his grip on Jeno's thigh. The crushing hold left a clear handprint beneath the brunette's sweatpants.
A look filled with venom was sent to both intruders when Jeno whimpered, curling in slightly to the older, almost pleading for his touch to stop.
"I think we better head to class. Am I wrong?" He questioned, teeth gritted in fury as he took the tray and stood. "Coming?"
Jeno quickly nodded, sending Jisung a worried look, before turning back to give Jaemin the same warning glare.
"See you later Sung, Mark," he quickly let out, stumbling to keep up with his boyfriend.
He couldn't help the sinking feeling in his heart.
Jinsoo had found out...
