"Jun, please don't do this!" Jaemin pleaded from beside the boy, his attempts to drag the older away being futile. "You won't win. He's strong, Jun. Please, please, please listen to me," he begged again, hands clasped around Renjun's right hand which was clenched into a fist.

Jaemin had never seen Renjun this way, and was honestly scared of how this would play out. The guilt began to eat away as Renjun shook his hand from the loose grip, taking a confident step towards Donghyuck.

"Hyuck!" He yelled, pulling his sleeves up to expose his forearm. The small tattoo of a rose that was placed by his wrist bulged as a vain became more prominent. "You know, I am sick of you walking around all haughtily. You think that you own this place, and that everyone fears you. Well, sir...I'm fucking done with it." Renjun's words were enough to redden Donghyuck's cheeks with fury.

The younger lunged forward, landing a painful punch on Renjun's cheek. At this stage, a small group had formed, but they all stood way back, far enough for the wind to carry Donghyuck and Renjun's conversation away.

"Oh dear, Renjun, what's made this anger surface? Being pushed around? Wait, no....Jisung replaced you." Jaemin winced, him being the only outsider close enough to hear. The low dig made his heart clench as he thought of his negligence towards his original friend.

Renjun's fist was shaking with the built up anger that ran through his body. Meanwhile, his cheek began to swell and turn a grotesque shade of purple. Jaemin knew that it was too late to talk them out of it now, because both boys were too engrossed with the conversation to care for the youngest boy's words.

Renjun jumped forward, his fist flying through the air, ready to plant a punch on Donghyuck's cheek, but out of nowhere, the attack was returned.

Yet another painful hit was landed on the same cheek as before. Jaemin could already feel tears surface as he basked in the aftermath of his secrecy.

The brunette doubled over, spitting a few flecks of blood out before flinching slightly when he saw the shadow of his opponent approach him.

His breathing was rapid and laboured as he stood straight again, eyes glazed over as he swung a weak hit. Surprisingly, his fist caught Donghyuck's stomach, forcing a wheezing sound from the younger as the pain erupted throughout his body. The dull throb that followed elicited a chuckle from him as he wiped his hair off his face.

Jaemin could feel the nerves as Donghyuck slowly approached Renjun. The youngest let his gaze strain to catch a glimpse of Jeno who was being back hugged by Jinsoo. His breath hitched at the sight, wanting nothing more than to help his neighbour, but his focus was snatched by the fight as it continued.

There was a killer chill in the air, the snow still falling in small flakes. It hadn't started to stick yet, but the temperature was enough to confirm that it eventually would.

"What if I told Jinsoo about what you did?" Renjun pushed, his voice holding a sinister tone as he spoke to the younger. Truly, he hadn't a clue what he was talking about, but he wasn't stupid enough to miss that Donghyuck was scared shitless of his 'friend'.

Donghyuck's eyes momentarily widened before he put on a straight face once again."And what would he do?" Renjun could see this as an opportunity to get to the bottom of Jaemin and Jisung's relationship. This was all for Jaemin, and Jaemin knew, making the guilt worsen.

"Beat you up? Mess with you? Anything he wants to do," Renjun replied, his shaking hand reaching up to grab his throbbing cheek while sharing a look with Jaemin, ignoring the warning glare he received.

"I'm not like Jeno, a fucking punching ba-"  ......."Shit."

And now Renjun knew.
