"Blanca you need to go to school. It doesn't matter if you are taking over your father's place or not!! ", mother said, almost yelling
"Don't you yell at my mafia boss", father encouraged and gave me a hug
"Daddy be careful today, okay", I said in my most angelic tone
"Yes ma'am", he winked
"Suarez!!", I screamed
" Yes, ma?"
"You better take care of him .…", I pointed at dad" ..or else I'll blow your brains out, got it?!"
"Yes ma'am"
"I'll leave now sweet. Take care and have fun, 'kay?" dad said and kissed my forehead
"Always, bye daddy"

"Madam?"
"Yes, Suarez?" I said smiling goofily, today was great and I'm sure my dad succeeded with whatever he went to do
"Ma'am you might need to sit down for this one"
"Suarez fucking tell me what happened before I blow your brains out, you idiot!"
S-sir was shot", he answered stuttering
"Where is he?!!", I yelled, tears threatening to fall
" H-he is -", I cut him off by slapping him
"Where the fuck is he?!!!"
"In the Houston Methodist Hospital"
"Fucking idiot!", I yelled as I ran out

I ran into the hospital like a madwoman and barely made it to the front counter
" Nurse, Mr. Nathaniel Vermont was admitted here", I said shaking
"Yes madam he is in the ICU"
"Th-thanks", I stuttered and ran to the ICU. When I got there I saw my mother sitting on the chair outside the ICU.
" Mother!!"
"Blanca!"
"What happened? I will kill the person who did this!" I exclaimed gritting my teeth and balling my hands into fists.
"Miss Vermont?", the doctor said coming out
"That's me," I said rushing over to him.
Your father is awake and is requesting for you", he continued
I immediately rushed inside and the sight of him broke my heart
My father, whom I love soo much was in a condition I could not help him out of.
"Father?" I said, more like a whisper
"Sweetheart," he said and gave me a weak smile
" who did this to you?" I asked trying not to cry
He immediately turned red with anger
"Christopher Monero" he gritted his teeth "Blanca Vermont, swear on my death bed that you will wipe that bastard's family off the planet"
"Yes sir. I Blanca Vermont swear on your death bed to kill that bastard, his wife, and his children! I swear", I promised now crying
"Don't you dare cry in front of me, Vermont. I know I won't make it but you will stay strong, ruthless, and cold. Do you get me?!"
"Yes sir" I answered wiping my tears because they will be the last I shed.
After that he closed his eyes forever he died in front of me.
"Doctor!!", I yelled with no emotion. The doctor rushed in and the nurse shook her head and covered him with the blanket. I walked out of the room with my hands balled into fists. I'm going to kill Christopher Monero but first I need to look the part.
" Blanca? What happened???", mother asked about to touch me, I jerked away from her and answered her
"He is dead", I said those words like I was asking for a cup of tea like they meant nothing. But deep down I was dying.
" Sorry?! I don't think I heard you properly!" mother exclaimed
"Bianca, your husband is dead", I repeated, still not showing any emotion " I'll leave now. You may come home with Suarez if you'd like", I added and walked out
The only day I'll smile again is when that son of a bitch is dead right in front of my eyes and that is a promise I make on the grave of Nathaniel Vermont
