I walked out of my bathroom still blow drying my hair. I walked into the room to find Liam sprawled across my bed asleep. His mouth was slightly open and he looked soo at peace

I walked slowly to the bed, bent over, and whispered in his ear
"Liam, wake up" I knew he was a light sleeper and would wake up if I just whispered. But today he didn't so I thought of letting him sleep a bit longer. Just when I was leaving he held my wrist

Great, he's awake, I thought

"I am already awake" he whispered

"Good for you, leave my hand... Now" he left my hand immediately. He knows when I'm not in a playful mood and when I am. And today I am not in a good mood.

He looked like he was about to say something when my phone started ringing. I'm glad I set a ringtone for everyone I care about. And right now Ethan was calling me, I knew since I only used this song for him. New Rules, by Dua Lipa. I wanted to pick it up and give him a piece of my mind, but I didn't. I was in such a bad mood that I didn't want to talk to anyone. Ironically the part of the song playing was soo accurate, it wasn't even funny

I allowed it to ring until it stopped and started all over again.
"Won't you answer it?" Liam asked

"Does it look like I want to answer it?!" I snapped

"Well, won't you at least check the caller ID? It could be important"

"Nothing and I mean nothing could be more important than Mia right now"

"It could be Mia"

"No, it's Ethan"

There was a look of sheer confusion on his face

"It's Ethan Monero, problem?" I asked

"None" he answered but I still saw a flash of hurt and emotion I couldn't decipher in his eyes. If I had blinked, I would have missed it because it was quickly replaced with a blank expression.

I walked over to my phone on the dresser and was about to put it on vibrate when my mother called
I tried my very best to compose myself and answered the call.
