Finally after a whole 3 hours, 26 minutes I got to the city of New York

I drove to the hotel and the moment I entered my hotel room, I flopped on my bed and closed my eyes
Before I could drift off to sleep, someone decided to call me
"Fuck", I muttered before grabbing my phone from my bag

My eyes felt too heavy to check the caller ID so I just answered it placed it on my ear

"Hello?"
"Hi B", the voice said quietly, I immediately recognized it as Mia's voice

"Mia! How is it going there?"
"Well, you only left like 6 hours ago so...nothing. Your side?"
"Meh. And I can't do anything without the asshole's picture", I yawned as I flopped back on my bed

"Blanca...I uh thought that ...I would-", she paused and took a deep breath
"Oh Mia", I chuckled "Yes, you will be the one to put a bullet in the Monero's brain, alright?"

She laughed and I could imagine her sweet smile

"Thank you, Blanca. But how will I train without you here?? After all, you are kinda the only one who likes me here"

"Sweetheart you are soo wrong", I answered straightening up on my bed
"Suarez and Liam are there, so what the heck are you talking about. Sweetheart, don't sweat it, you will be alright, as long as you stay with those two you'll be fine", I sighed at the thought of Liam

"Oh yeah, and Blanca?"

"Hmm?", I hummed in response

"Yesterday, when you were coming out of Liam's room, you looked like you were in a bad mood, but we couldn't talk because of me. You know?"

I smiled a little and explained everything to her, she sighed
"Blanca, I feel you. Yeah, I feel you a lot...but I also feel Liam. He has probably been in love with you for years, and then when he confesses his feelings...you reject him. B, I care about you both...how can I not? You two saved me when I was running from my destiny. Blanca, do you wanna know what I think?", she didn't wait for me to answer before she continued

"I think it's your fear of losing Liam, that is not allowing you to accept the feelings you have for him. And don't tell me you don't love him, 'cause if you didn't, you would not have felt soo bad when he pushed you away..or when he was cold towards you. You, Blanca Vermont, need to give your love for Liam Martinez a chance...", I thought she had ended until she added

"Please, don't let him go, because you rarely find men like Liam anymore. I mean I thought my ex-boyfriend loved me....until he sold me to those men...", she trailed off

"Mia, I am soo sorry"

She sniffed and sighed "Gah!!! This isn't about me, it's about you. C'mon Blanca, give Liam a chance. Alright?"
Now it was my turn to sigh

"Alright Dr. Phil...I'll give the love a chance"

"Girlfriend I know well enough to know that you did air quotes around the love...so repeat it but without the air quotes", she laughed and I rolled my eyes soo hard I thought they were going to pop out of their sockets

"Alright, Dr. Phil... I'll give the love a chance. There, I said it. Happy?"

"Yup!!", she exclaimed and laughed. "Hey Blanca, can I ask you a few questions?"
"Bitch, what kinda questions?", I raised my brow

She laughed soo hard
"Hmph! I just wanted to get to know you better, but since you don't wanna-"

I immediately cut her off
"Sorry, Mia. I want to. Soo....ask away"
"Alright... What was your favorite cartoon growing up?"

"Oh, that's easy. Tom and Jerry. Those two cracked me up", I laughed and she joined me.

"Me too, those two were the best"

"Mmmm, what did you want to be as a child Mia?"

"Oh, that's the easiest. I wanted to be a Human Rights Activist", she sounded pleased "You?"

"Hmm, I always wanted to be like my dad...strong and loving at the same time. I wanted to...I wanted to take over his business. I wanted to be like him. Gosh, I loved my dad."

"Alright Mia, what happened to your parents?"

She sighed heavily, just like I did every time someone asked me about my dad

"The Moneros had them killed. My dad actually knew your dad. Christopher wanted my dad to stop working for yours and when he refused, he sent his men to murder us in cold blood. I was lucky, cause that night I was at a friend's house...you can't imagine the kind of shock I went through", at this point she was sobbing over the phone, and all I wanted was to be hugging her.

"Mia I'm soo sorry. And I swear to you Mia, I will see to it personally that the day I find the Monero, you will put a bullet in between his eyes."
"Thank you, Blanca. I think I should leave you to rest. We'll talk tomorrow, alright?"

"Of course, bye girl"
And that's when the line went dead and I was left to think about what Mia said...until I was slowly and completely consumed by sleep. A peaceful and calm sleep
