Hi wonders! Welcome to my third cover contest! My latest series is slowly coming to a close, and I'd like to make sure I get this contest underway in time for the end of that, especially since I plan to move onto something brand new.
When I do cover contests, I make an announcement chapter that showcases all the entries, because I think we should appreciate the hard work of everyone who takes part. At the end of the day, you are all a talented bunch of humans who decided that they wanted to share their work, and I feel it's only right to show your talent if you're comfortable with that. The winner of the contest will, of course, have their creation (whatever form that may take) used as the cover of the new book, and they will be credited in the description of the book, and in any introduction or teaser-type chapter I decide to make.
Let's go over the rules and technicalities first, and then I'll talk about some key themes or ideas that I'd like to see on it, if at all possible. The rules are mandatory, the ideas are just there to get the inspiration going.
The rules:
- No NSFW stuff (I don't think I need to explain this one too much)
- Should be sent in before 6pm GMT on the 11th of July 2020.
- Results should be put up by the end of the 12th of July 2020Technicalities (where to send the pictures n stuff):
- I have a Tumblr and Twitter under the same username as Wattpad, as well as a gmail email with the same user...just add the typical gmail stuff and all is good. You're also welcome to use transfer sites and send me a link via PM, if you'd prefer that.
- If you've got any questions about the contest, worried about a late entry, anything like that, feel free to ask away either in PM or on my message board, it's entirely up to you.
- I will probably put a few teasers up about the new book at certain points: you are welcome to also use those as inspiration if you want to do soKey themes/ideas:
Title: Broken Glass
Focus/main ship - TaekookGenre: Fantasy-based fanfiction
Imagery: Glass/broken glass, mirrors, ribbons/strings/rivers of gold (that's like an extra if you wanna put that in)
I'd like to stress once more that the deadline is the 11th of July 2020. I am well aware that time zones exist, so if you're a few hours late, no worries. But if you're like...three weeks late, or something, or a year late...I won't be able to include your entry in the contest, for obvious reasons. There's no pressure to get involved if it's not your thing, but you're welcome to do so if you wish.
Thank you in advance for reading, and I hope you consider taking part!
Izzy
